We got bricks for first time ever in UK …I got 4 and got over excited and have used one whole brick already 😂 however I have not got the knack of cutting them yet . I need to have another go at it when I’ve ordered myself a soap cutter which looks so much easier than the knife I’ve been trying to do it with . Thanks for sharing 😊
I just use a steak knife 🤣 and I like to cut several cubes at once into 4's or half. That way when I want to warm, it's cut already & I don't have to mess around and cut every time.
I use a paring knife I've had for years but always found annoying I didn't have a blade cover for it LOL. Now it's my dedicated wax-cutting knife and lives in my wax supplies drawer...and I don't have to worry about cutting myself when I'm cooking and reaching into the drawer without looking! (I also cut regular bars apart with a knife instead of breaking apart...they always seem to break unevenly and then my next warming session with that scent will not be as powerful) (Yes I'm odd.)
Excellent video, thank you. I've tried using a silicone serrated knife, and a bench scraper, but will go and order the soap cutting set on Amazon, and give that a try. I like to cut the whole brick at once (since I'm already getting all the "supplies" out to do so - I hardly have any counter space, so use a silicone cutting "board" on a TV tray, and have my brick, cutting tools, etc. out and then put the chopped up pieces back into the brick to store/use at will later. But - stupid me - I always get confused on what row/place the cubes came from, or for whatever reason they NEVER fit back right, and I end up with the brick cover then not closing, and I don't want to lose scent, so end up storing the cut-up-cubes-brick inside a polypropylene bag, or sometimes just the cubes inside the bag, if I did a bad enough job. LOL.
I cut each of my cubes into 4ths with a soap cutter. That way I can think of each section I cut as one cube from a regular bar.
Cutting bricks is so satisfying!!!!

That was so easy. I use a butter knife or a plastic knife when cutting my cubes up
I got the Winters Eve and Icicles and evergreen bricks.
Just cut my brick today. I use the soap cutting method.
Your method is super easy! This was really helpful for me because I’m new to bricks this year and haven’t cut up any yet. Thanks! 😍
Yay! So happy this was helpful! Enjoy your bricks!!
Thanks! I was wanting to cut the small cube ones because a whole one gives me a headache
Ive been using brick cubes in full size warmer that can take 4 cubes.
I found an inexpensive pastry cutter for under two dollars at Walmart. Works great for bricks.
I have the exact same set of cutters and they work fantastic.
