My theory to why Polterpup appears is that once he found out that Luigi from the past has a golden bone Polterpup used E Gadd's time machine (the same one he used to transfer Gooigi to the past) to travel just for that eat that bone and wake Luigi up when he's unconscious
Or maybe the poltherpup did exist in Luigi’s mansion 1 3DS remastered but let’s pretend neither E.Gadd, Luigi nor anyone else discovered that ghost until they’ve met it at the 2nd Mansion in LM2.
Good that Polterpup always got a chance to revive Luigi like this. Polterpup may be creepy actually, But because he's a ghost DOG, Polterpup is also very cute. I love Polterpup as Luigi's best ghost friend so much. 😊❤
Well in the original Luigi's mansion 2 for the 3ds all I did was do five floors for hunter, rush, and polterpup and it unlocked surprise mode I don't know if it's the same for the remake as I haven't played that yet but it should be

There's actually a few different revivals in Luigi's Mansion 3. Sometimes, Polterpup will give Luigi a little nudge to get back into the fight.
