i spent my highschool years watching her in chinese dramas and has a major crush on her still. yifei is so beautiful. the minute i knew disney was developing a mulan live action, i immediately thought of yifei. and whenthey announced her as the title character, i was like, "i knew it!"

She is more known for her TV shows in China. Those are the ones that made her name known in China, which were streamed on television like fifteen years ago. I wouldn’t have know about this if I didn’t search her up because I was too young. Her movies in China was alright. None of her movies were outstanding or particularly good, which makes me very curious of her performance in Mulan. This might be her best performance on big screen in her career.
You don't want to mess with a woman saying, "when she is in the moment, she can surprise herself with some moves she doesn't even know."

How are you even sure that the 1.4 billion people in China even support the hk police especially considering that in China, you get murdered for speaking against the country. China sensors everything from Winnie the Pooh to the tiananman square massacre. I got Disney+ just to watch this movie again, and I don't regret it because I liked it even more the second time. Liu Yifei is amazing, to me she's the best Chinese actress

they took out Mushu the dragon , the songs , and one of the main characters .
I know. But it looks a lot more realistic and accurate and I'm so here for it. The Beauty and the Beast remake was exactly like the original and it made the faults very glaring in my opinion. I'd rather it be really different and more respectful to the original legend than be a cheap copy of the original, if that makes any sense. Personally I'll still watch the original if I want the songs and everything...

Apparently, most people don’t even mention her first support role in story of the noble family (金粉世家）or Demi god and semi devils (天龍八部）before she was 小龍女. Honestly, I think she’s still the best 小龍女 of the millennium. Of course best 小龍女of all time is Idy Chan (1983). Story of the noble family, back then, she was 14.

Unfortunately, the film encountered so many dissent and severe personal attacks. I looked at the historical data of several major actors and found that they are a philanthropist and have helped many poor people, orphans and students. Disney can postpone the launch date, in reality, viewers will accept it because the virus crisis has not yet been resolved.

I love to hear actors really prepate hard before acting. This is especially important in an action movie. Some say other actresses are more suitable than Yifei. I really doubt that. It is not easy to find a so pretty and famous actress with experience in action movies.

I really wanna see this movie... looks great. I dont like the "this is all women" narrative Hollywood tries to push. It just makes it seem like we have to completely segregate women from men for them to work... which isn't true at all. Women are very capable of doing amazing work even if one of her generals is a man.
