I've been a "music buff" for the near entirety of my life. How did I miss all of this the first time? I surely would have picked up on his music the first go around if I'd picked up on even just one of his songs. I love his voice and his music!
Thank you AI !!! I've been searching for this video for years. I watched this back in 1992 and remember the sax guy just burning down the house with his playing. Decades later I tried finding this clip. I had always thought I saw this on SNL and not Carson. I must have looked for it 10 times from about 2010 to today, 2024. I'm good at finding old obscure things on the net but always failed finding this. Today I said hmmm , let's see of AI can find it. I simply asked" find a video of a sax player with Chris Izzak who was amazing"...and boom there it was. btw I used bing GPT.
@@WayOutWardell Ahhh...Many thanks for letting me know my memory is intact. Yes, I was willing to bet I saw it on SNL as I mentioned. Thought I was having a senior moment. Thanks again !
Check out the independent 50s inspired rock and roll movie called roadracers by Robert Rodriguez. johnny reno is in it playing some great music also he had a few pretty good solo cds out in the 90s
Saw him at a small place in Chicago back when he just started! He was amazing, brought the house down! What a voice, good looking so what’s not to love!
Michael Chumley My pleasure, Mr. Chumley! Glad you liked the clip, and Mr. Wilsey is legendary for a couple of phases in his musical career [including a 'faster' period] ;) Thanks for your note of appreciation, too!
Hey Chris , this is sixkiller!!! Love you then , love you now. Moving to South Carolina. See you on the road. God is always looking out for you !! Peace kola
I've seen him a handful of times and he's an incredible performer. I worked at club in San Francisco when I was a kid and he and the band were hired to perform at some big company event. Not long before this Carson appearance. A bunch of suburban fools getting drunk and stupid. They just sort of drifted away from the stage. Like it was background music. I got off work, stood there with about 50 people and saw an amazing performance. They might as well have been playing in front of 5,000. Total pros. Always connected to him and his music.
Big Isaak fan. Was also a HUGE fan of Johnny Reno (playing sax). Johnny Reno and the Sax Maniacs used to cruise around the country playing some hot licks. They made frequent visits to Nebraska (seriously) and were HOT.
"That's My Desire." It was written in 1931 and has been a favorite standard recorded by artists such as Buddy Holly, Patsy Cline, Ella Fitzgerald, & Franky Laine.
I seen Chris in Canton Ohio in July 2022 he looked good and sounded fantastic. I drove 8 hours total and stayed in a hotel but it was welll worth it ❤
