Looks like this was the last year for that CBS intro music. In '87 they started using the same music they still use today for college football!

Not just for the game broadcast, but for the halftime scoreboard show w/Jim Nantz (The Prudential College Football Report)-- this was the second and final season where the billboard track was based on the theme music of The NCAA Today (former CBS college gridiron studio show w/Brent Musburger, Pat O'Brien and the late Ara Parseghian that was on for the 1982 and '83 seasons); personally (and this is just my opinion), I feel that this music was far better than the 1987 music (being as the 1987 one was used for both game broadcasts and studio shows).

@@leemacphail1876 Which was the game that avenged the loss the previous year down in Death Valley even though that game did not count in the '83 ACC standings. Clemson was fresh off of NCAA probation for 1983 but the ACC made the Tigers ineligible for 1984 and the Terps got their revenge for '83. I miss the Terps being in the ACC

@@leemacphail1876 Do you have footage from the 1984 Clemson game in Baltimore as well as the game against Virginia that decided the 1984 ACC Championship?

This was the famous penalty box game...The first college football game in which both coaches had been banished from the sidelines.

Bobby has some good teams , I played against Tommy Neil in HS . That guy was a beast , they ran the triple eye & nobody could tackle his ass . I wish Maryland would go back to the old helmet , good work .

Me too cause the 80's set of uniforms should still be used today permanently and always designate one home game per year (like against Ohio State or Michigan or Penn State) to be played in Baltimore just like in the 80s when the Clemson game that would usually be played in College Park was played at Memorial Stadium which they did in 1984, 1986 and 1990. This game will be remembered for it being a tie but more so for both Bobby Ross and Danny Ford being banned from the sidelines by the ACC and in the coaches box.
