I will give information about a new travel destination near Kolkata. Kaikhali is a weekend destination, very close to Kolkata. Kaikhali, surrounded by mangroves along the Matla River, is easily accessible by rail and road. You can enjoy the beauty of Matla from one day stay at Kaikhali tourist lodge. You can also visit Jharkhali Tiger Rehabilitation Centre.
The cost of staying at Kaikhali tourist accommodation is 600 rs per person including four times meals. There is also Bangheri home stay. Can stay here too. There are also AC rooms here.

Take train from Sealdah to Jayanagar Mojilpur station. Then come to Nimpeeth Ramakrishna Ashram by auto. Take metro to New Garia station and from there you can also come to Jayanagar Mojilpur station by local train. Auto fare from station to Nimpeeth Ashram is rs.15. Auto fare from Jaynagar Mojilpur to Kaikhali is Rs 450-500. 4-5 people can go in an auto.
Enjoy your lunch at Nimpith and come to Kaikhali tourist lodge.

Each room has two single beds. Rs 600 per head. If there is a child in a bed in the room then the full charge is charged for that too. However, if there is a child in the same room with the parents, there is no charge. Even if there is one person in a room, he has to pay 1200 rupees.

কৈখালি তে আমার ঠাকুমার মামাবাড়ি প্রত্যেক বছর চৈত্র মাসে ওখানে কালীপূজা হয় এবং কালীপূজার পর দিন আমরা সব আত্তিয়সজন মিলে মিশে দুটো অথবা 3টে ছোটো লঞ্চ ভাড়া করে মাথলা ভ্রমণের পাশাপাশি ঝরখালি আর বিদ্ধাধরী নদীর সাফারি করি এই ধরুন সকাল 8 টা নাগাদ লঞ্চে ওঠা হয় আর বিকাল 5 টা নাগাদ নামা খওয়া দাওয়া সবই হয় ওই লঞ্চেই , সত্যিই অনবদ্য একটা অভিগত্তা ভ্রমণ প্রিয় মানুষ দের বেশ ভালো লকবে ,
