What a mess of a dungeon. I just kept dying and getting teleported everywhere without a clue as to what was happening. Thanks for this guide, I wouldn't have been able to make sense of this myself. Now I can perhaps dare to show my face in there again haha!
Truly awful design. Like inexcusably bad. The follower dungeon followers bug out and just start attacking the infinite crap on the edges and the dungeon never progresses. Whoever designed this should be fired. Out of a cannon. Into the sun.
For me I had the problem in chasing the last boss flying. Thought it was the boss throwing out those yellow (light) balls :D So I just avoided them like I did in some of the Skyriding races.
Yeah, you really have to read the dungeon guide in game to understand some of the attacks, but the whole concept of where to go what to do took me four turns to become aware of. And even then I still didn't understand the why's what was happening or what I had to do. If I had a guild group I guess we could take our time and break it all down by do it over and over again. Otherwise I do agree it is a mess to figure out.
This dungeon is designed so bad, its not clear what to do and where to go. As a druid if you transform in travel form (which everyone uses to skyride) you get the ordinary ground travel form for some dumb reason. I was running around looking for an item to use (like in the Tindral fight in the Amirdrassil raid) and just died. Thanks for the video.
I hated this dungeon and still do, i went in over geared and lost. pretty much my team had no clue about yellow orbs and the debuff.. wiped about 12 times then quit. i flew down got separated fighting lieutenants, everyone else is on the ship. protection warrior (me) 10 minute's going nuts. blamed the creators for rushing and being under the influence of heavy drugs. No set path, open world within an open world here and no NPC or quests to give you clues where to go, thank goodness people eventually find things out and share on youtube. Blizzard should spend more time on mistakes before blowing ahead and trying to make scheduled deadlines. Even Heirlooms... instead of a scaling rare blue quality for leveling they should have given them epic purple if not golden legendary or red artifact levels of super boosts. anyways yeah.
This may be my favorite guide channel now. Reminds me of another small guide creator I followed for FF14 that specialized in 'quick guides' and it was just short, to the point, here's the pulls, here's the mechanics, and all the important info up front so you were ready to go on short notice with dungeons you were unfamiliar with. Working on learning all the dungeons atm as I've only been running stone vault for gear and, when I queued up for Dawnbreaker it was a shitshow, so I found myself here.
Well I am glad you found us! Working hard to put out informative quality stuff that doesn't get bogged down by the "Make it 10 mins for the ad revenue" side
Thanks for the excellent guide. I got this as a random dungeon when I was level 78, which I wasn't expecting. I'm usually able to figure out dungeon mechanics on the fly - especially on normal difficulty, but I was completely lost in this one. Hopefully I can do better next time now that I have a sense of what's going on.
I HATE this dungeon. I just tried to tank it, and I could not find the lieutenants. Then I found this video. Thank you. That dungeon will be the bane of my existence.
When you have to go to the other ships to kill the bugs....don't go back to the main ship before the other ones. Three times on three different attempts I made this mistake and it puts you inside the main ship and you cannot get out. Worst dungeon ever by far! Thanks for this guide...I learned the hard way lol.
Thanks for posting this! I never would have made it through without this guide. My first time through and I already hate this dungeon. I never would have even noticed those glowing orbs in the last stage if you hadn't pointed them out. I'm so glad I did a follower dungeon first to learn the mechanics. I would have been kicked from a regular group.
It's definitely not for everyone. I personally really like it, but it has some issues. Mostly being that it's not very clear where to go, and a lot of people die to unintuitive one shot mechanics like not catching light orbs of not being able to follow the boss at the final fight
If this is a level 80 dungeon, why was my level 74 druid thrown into it. I was hoping for the usual 4 or 5 dungeons low levels do, not this mess. I died like 5 times cuz I didn't know what to do. But thank you for the guide! Now I know what to do when I do get dropped off there again
when I'm in owl form flying on boss, light orbs do not appear, and when I'm on a normal Flying Mounts, everything works, maybe it will help someone, because I died many times
OMG, just did the dungeon for the first time as a follower dungeon. I didn’t read any guide, cuz you know, follower dungeon, how hard can it be? Lol, it was so fucking crazy, but also really fun to do - I lol’ed all the way through. But whats it gonna be like for a M+ dungeon, I can see people getting really mad at it.
Thanks for the Guide! went in there first time as a tank in Heroic. Kindly told it was but still got kicked as I didn't know the way. Blizz community as its best xD
@@ZestyGuides thanks haha, don't worry about it. Back in the days too there was only thottbot and no real guides. And I remember WC too xD it was a pain. But thanks to your quick and simple guide, I requeued after loggin in and we aced it with a normal group ;) Thanks, you deserve more subs!
You’re missing an ability cast on the first boss, as a Prot warrior it’s very difficult as it’s a very large magical hit. It’s rhetorical ability with the 4 beams that rotate. Even not standing in the beams I take a huge hit of magical damage
Managed to figure out the lieutenant stuff and get to the last boss 2nd phase only to get 1 shot from the silly orbs 😂 I’ll definitely practice on solo mode to really get it down
Just did this dungeon for the weekly. I couldn't see the Dawnbreaker when we were jumping onto it at the very start (it was invisible - it looked like the other players were just jumping into the ether), I couldn't see either of the two wing ships once we were aloft, there were no light orbs to fly through at any point, all the other players were at completely random locations when I clicked on my map, so I died at every opportunity. They kicked me after the 5th death. For some reason the kick didn't take effect until after they killed the final boss, so I still got the weekly done!
Another note: I am running into issues where the orbs do not show for me. I know this happens in druid flight form, but I had it happen on my DK as well.
We had the same issue a bit ago. I was the only one who could fly using my Druid flight form. I couldn't mount up, but I could use flight form even in combat.
Same here, did try like over 50 times in total, still buggy lol. Greate game. Wonder if the did even test this bug in alpha. I guess I have to wait until some hotfix or something. Did try on different char, and did also try different mout, but the problem is that you are in combat, so how can you even use your mount? I don't get it. For me, this is worst dungeon. And hard to know where to go, this is first time I need to check YT to see where you need to go. Additionally, there is a bug in this instance that prevents the boss from spawning after you die on the ship! During the first boss I died 3 times because I wasn't sure what to do, because I was in combat, I couldn't fly, so I tried different things, but the boss never appeared when I returned. I waited 5 minutes, even flew away and back to the ship and waited 5 minutes, nothing happened... As a result, I had to reset the instance and start over... Like this, but three times for the first boss only! After that, there was something on the ship's second boss, which died and did not spawn, so I had to reset the instance and start over again... So yeah, there you have the reason why I hate this instance so much.
Just a tip, on last boss, you can directly fly to the ground where the boss lands in the end, you have enough time to get there before your timer runs out and the guy on the ground is a permanent light source
Not sure if the final boss is bugged in this thing but I did this as a follower dungeon with 2 other friends and we kept getting the Tacky Burst going off on the ship and it was brutalising us. One of the guys quit and then just 2 of us did it and no Tacky Burst on the ship portion of the fight.
If at any point there isn't a target within her red circle she will do that. Make sure the tank is always within her reach. This is not at all listed in the journal, and since I'm a tank I never saw it occur when I was recording but I've now heard several reports and figured out why haha
@@ZestyGuides It would sure be nice if Blizz could properly document these fights. That bollocks ruined a night of gaming with mates as our tank rage quit over the wipes and we couldn't work out why we were getting hit so hard.
I like this dungeon but once you have to follow the boss it's so confusing. The npc shoots light at you before you leave the ship and I'm like oh that's the light I have to make sure I have. Nope you need the orbs. And it's hard to even know the path to follow the boss. Lots of dying on that part.
This is like Freehold and Nokhud all wrapped in one. Bad layout and absolutely no tips on how to beat it. Came in blindly and was so lost because it seemed my group was just as lost, so I exited the dungeon. Will have to run it some other time.
I just did it in follower dungeon mode and the NPCs didn't ping where the minibosses are. We still defeated the second boss with two of them up, but it was harder than it needed to be. It's helpful for learning this dungeon's weird mechanics but it's not without its flaws.
@@ZestyGuides Your followers can bug out when flying down from Dawnbreaker after the first boss. If you land where they ping, they randomly don't spawn on you but a bit closer towards the pathway around the plaza and for whatever reason try to path around it to get back to you, pulling all mobs around the plaza. If you are geared enough, you might kill them fast enough before everything dies, but if you are actually in an ilvl range where you should run follower dungeons, that will just wipe you :D Pathfinding when giving your tank lead is a bit wonky in other dungeons as well, but at least it doesn't break things in them. ^^
