Hi. I think this one looks good. I love your perseverance and determination to get it right. Please keep showing us everything. There's nothing more frustrating than watching someone skim through a video when I don't have a clue how something was done.

I am learning so much from your experiments with making waves, Julie. I think this piece looks really nice.

Love watching your videos. They are so natural and real. You certainly do make us feel like we are in this together. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I’ve learn a lot from your videos.
    Everything is amazing.
Love how you’ve made these wave.
And I’ve taken another thing away from watching this and that is my need to apply a lot more perseverance when working with resin 😊

Love hearing your dogs bark. My 18 year old dog stopped barking at anything unless a stranger gets really close to her. So I kind of miss it.
    Ocean board is gorgeous!

Perhaps try letting the “body of water” set up for 15 minutes but not your white. I’ve found that when you come back and do the white without a wait time, because it’s thinner, it will almost skip or skim over the setup gelled water area, leaving larger cells. Worth a shot. My best results have been with just resin ocean white. I thoroughly enjoy watching your adventures and creativity! Best of luck!

I think the dark blue at the back of the third layer was a great idea. It made the color so much better, more water-like. 😊😍.

Great work! Maybe not torching the clear before the white would help with the cells, since the bubbles help create cells?

Hey Julie! I love the long video's and continuing the experiments. It's coming along very nice even though you want bigger cells...so pretty. I really like the organic wave line on the second one, were you have more dips coming down rather than a straighter line. The water colors are beautiful, that darker blue looked gorgeous faded in. Bring on the next one, can't wait. Big hugs from Texas!😍🤩

Another fun sea foam waves test. 😄 The bigger part of my comment is dedicated to you remarking on one of your stinkier resins giving headaches, though. 🙂
It's a bit bulky, and would block your ability to be heard clearly by muffling your voice, but a respirator could help with the smellier resins. Ideally--for anyone anywhere--you'd have not only good ventilation when working with any resin, you'd also have a way to protect yourself by not inhaling the fumes. That's where higher grade filters come in, though the majority of respirators I know of in hardware stores/online are primarily for filtering things like construction dust, and not so much gaseous fumes from potential irritants/hazards. That doesn't mean you won't find any with the options you could consider helpful, it'd just take research, and your own prudence on what makes sense to you.

Looks great! When you first started blowing out the second layer there was a point it actually looked like a huge crashing wave, then you blew out some more to get the foamy look you were going for. So I was thinking that once you get your waves where you want them to be you could make the whole scene blue water and work on making crashing waves. On shaking the Amor ocean pigment you could open it like you open your Piñata bottles and add 1 or 2, 3mm ball bearings to the bottle. You should do this with all of your bottles where the color drops to the bottom.

      @@dandaresin no, I haven't. Doesn't it distort the cells?

    • @dandaresin
      @dandaresin 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

@PouringYourHeartOut no Julie it actually adds cells to your resin as it splits the resin with it being oil but splits it on a good way. you just add a couple of drops..

I really liked the thumbnail picture. The right side had the big wave. The waves don’t always come in long across the whole beach. There’s always a few short ones coming. I know you are trying new pigments and resins but myself, I’d go watch some videos of waves as I’m about 3-4 hrs from a beach. You do wonderful pieces and not knowledgeable to tell you how to do your craft. 😊❤

I love your experimenting in the waves.. Good to see al kinds of different pastes and resins, how they work and the end results. Indeed your first line so delicate and nice cells, only annoying that the ‘moved’ during curing and lost their sharp lines.. even though the piece still looks gorgeous 🤗. up to the next one.. 💪🤍🩵💙

I love these experiments. I am getting frustrated though. Stop putting the extra white line on! Water is going to naturally show through the foam. It looks wrong with the extra white to me. 💜 I don't usually have criticism for you, but I cringe everytime you start putting more white on after you blow.

I ONLY use MAS epoxy tabletop for all my ocean/water scenes, I refuse to use anything else! Here’s a tip: if you want a smoother line where the edge of the “water” is, treat the wood with stain or paint first. Orherwise, you could end up with some sharp curves that don’t look natural at all.
