    We sure got some beautiful countries here in Europe. Better take good care to keep it that way 🙏🏻

    Nice! Many tourists visit Czech Switzerland but most of them pass cities like Děčín. In this region I can greatly recommend Teplice, Litoměřice and not far from here, Mělník. All cities are very underrated for what they can offer.

    I came across your videos just by a chance and really like them, so I immediately subscribed! I started watching some random ones from beginning, really enjoying your humor and your style of videos. Looking forward to more! Safe travels!

    Czechia to me looks like a massive forest dotted with castles and beautiful towns, and I mean this in the nicest way, what a place! Thanks for another tour man!

      I found the German influence fascinating... little clues here and there that a century ago it was a very different place.

      @PlanesTrainsEverything You will find that in Czechia there is also a large Austrian influence. No wonder as it was part of Austria until 1918.

      @@PlanesTrainsEverythingnot German influence it's classic style in Central Europe, the baroque buildings look similar it was one empire during baroque Era, but they was builded by Czech/Italian/Austrian etc architects.

    As a Czech I love when tourists visit the overlooked parts of Czechia, because everyone visits Prague and nothing else. Great video! PS: You look like David Moyes, but younger 😁

    Litomysl and vysoke myto are lovely places I visited that are further to the north, Brno is a nice city too, hotel Pegas brews the best beer I have ever tasted.

    Unknown part of Europe , interesting. There are savoury crepes in Normandy too called Galletes.
    My favourite place there was the sandstone arch.

    Decin is certainly beautiful everywhere you look ; unfortunately the rain played spoilsport. That crepe was quite unusual but a good innovation- ham is always welcome . Thanks for another lovely ramble Scott .

    We really enjoyed the video, Scott, although those steps to the river looked treacherous! We have been to Czechia once when touring with a Canadian ice hockey team. We spent most of the time in and around Prague (even stumbled upon a load of British and American WWII era vehicles gathered for an event) but were able to get into the countryside a bit. Definitely would be happy to return for further exploration.

    There is another good view point on th hil opposite to Pastýřská Stěna - and you see all the town below. But there is no restaurant there.
    You should go to Hřensko and that to Pravčická Brána (Pravčice Gate) - the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prav%C4%8Dick%C3%A1_br%C3%A1na in the National Park Czech-Sachsen Schwitzland.

    I also giggled a bit in your previous video when you insisted on calling Mezná for Menza, although you pointed at numerous signs spelling the name during the video 🙂

    Thanks for a very interesting! Surprisingly, nobody has commented on the fact that the train you caught belonged to Deutsche Bahn. I presume that DB got the contract to run the service from the relevant Czech regional transport aurhority.

    • @chris-channel821
      @chris-channel821 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The train belongs to DB but is run all the way by Ceske Drahy. Even at the German part of the train route the train conductor and train driver is staff from Ceske Drahy.

    Thanks a lot for these beautiful impressions. I've been there once and despite the beautiful houses I remember the place as rather grey and shabby. But I have to say that my visit to town was only a few years after the fall of communism. That's why I'm grateful for the updated impressions.

    So much good stuff in Central Europe (the likes of Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary do not like being referenced as East European countries as they are nowhere near the East Side of Europe) keep up the good work Scott showing us these great places.

    "return to Germany" is a bit misleading considering these Germans lived in that part of Czechia for generations going back to the middle ages. For them, Sudetenland was their traditional homeland.

    • @Gosudar
      @Gosudar ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True. However, Sudetenland wasn't a thing until the early 20th century, when German nationalists came up with this name which was supposed to be the umbrella term for all German-speaking areas of Czechia.
