  • Today, I made several different backgrounds using the Stamping Foam by Simon Hurley and Ranger! I used everything from a placemat to a basket to grab texture and created a few fun cards at the end. Please note, the camera went out for a couple of minutes right near the beginning so just zip past that and there were NO problems after that. So sorry for the inconvenience.
Get you fun foam HERE: bit.ly/3xLrwWT

I know this comment is really late being it is December but I was watching this show on Utube and I had to make a comment. I am a little older than you Gina so I do remember the foam blocks. I can't tell you the year it was brought out but I still have my blocks. These ones were brought out in various bright colours and in several shapes. I remember using paper clips to make a pattern. I will have to get these out again to use them again. Thanks for the reminder and the wonderful techniques you used. Love ,love, love watching your shows! Thank you again Gina , tom and staff.

Jennifer Mcguire used an acrylic block to support the foam, it's a good idea for a better quality when you stamp on paper.

So Fun! I had to stop and create several cards before commenting although… I was ALL day doing them instead of only taking an hour. LOL … I was inspired by your enthusiasm and since I had “Magic Stamp” Foam from a few years ago that I had never even opened the package I figured I’d do a test run with it… not sure what the Ranger chemists may have done to improve it but your impressions were much better than mine. I appreciate that Simon Hurley altered the size to be 3 x 4 1/4 instead of the 3x4 that mine was - that 1/4” makes it center nicely on the standard card base. While I was playing, I ended up stamping a floral image that I had also used in my Magic Foam experiment and colored it in with Prismacolors & gamsol then created a GinaK style card for my Mom… I appreciate the time & energy you put into these videos and all you do in & around the card making industry. Have a great day! 🙂

Yes the foam is great fun I have had 2 small blocks in my craft room for 30 odd years. I have no idea where it came from it has just sat on the shelf for all those years until I saw what Simon did with it. Glad I didn't throw it away as I now have fun with it. It is great with dies too.

These are so fun! I still have the old product from 20 years ago. LOL But I got a pack of these as soon as he released them. So much fun!!! My granddaughter and neighbor girl will spend all day making stamps out of found objects. I just ordered three more packs to give to friends.

What great fun! There was (is?) a similar product on the market many years ago. It was not as thick tho and I don’t remember it being quite so simple to use. I do remember running around the house gathering different things to try it with! Your blouse is very pretty btw. Thanks for the very enjoyable video - it was especially fun to watch how excited you got (& rightly so) with the results :o)

So neat! I wonder if using the chuckie tool or similar would be useful for pressure. I have the original blue ones that are identical but made by ClearSnap *many* years ago, called Magic Stamps. Some places still have old, old stock.) But most ink colors can be seen better on the light gray so I bought a set.
