    Thank you, what a great comparison. I’ve been using my ni-l71r (your pick) for almost 17 years and love it. It’s one of my all time favorite purchases. Unfortunately the tank started to drip where it supplies the water to the base. I’m determined to fix it but was considering buying a more modern iron by Panasonic. If I can’t fix the leak I’m definitely buying another just like the one I already have thanks to your review.
    I also noticed the plastic and chrome on the other model seems cheaply made. Also I looked on eBay for that model and noticed the chrome switches and heat level buttons looked cracked on most of the second hand ones. Thanks again.

    Very good information. I have the aqua one for about a year. I love it! I like the ability to stand the iron up. I noticed one of the TH-cam quilters featured the purple one for a while but went back to eliseo iron. Probably for the lack of steam issue.

      @@ToniNov25 Sometimes ''newer" doesn't necessarily mean better, so I'll most likely buy the aqua one due to your expert review. good video Lorena, thank you. When you first gave the prices, I thought - NEVER!! But then, I'm old, and $25 for a steam iron is pricey to me. However...my ironing area in my room is across the room from my work table, and yes, I have "wished" my iron cord would reach that far. But wow...$70 for an iron!!! You can tell, quilting is on the upswing, and we all have far more spendable income than ever in the history of our country! But "if" I were going to get one of these...it would be the one you can sit on it's bottom. But for now...I'll stay with my $25 one. But when it dies..... :-)

    Lady everytime you post a video it's exactly what I need to see..I've been putting off buying a cordless iron because of prices and not knowing which one to go with.. I've read so many mixed reviews on irons I gave up.. by the way I don't have Facebook so I wouldn't have a chance winning one on there so thanks for offering to do a giveaway on here. Lol Thank you soooo much for this comparison. I've been making my grandson summer outfits and I think I'm ironing more with this than I did with quilt pieces.. speaking of quilts, I finished the baby quilt with the embroidered name and it was a success thanks to your info on that last video. Thanks again for that, it was perfect timing, kinda like this one.. we're soul sisters and don't know it Lol. No joking tho, you are so helpful to me and I take alot of your information and put it to use. Good review Lorena...I too have the aqua model (tho mine is purple!) and it has been wonderful as my machine-side iron. I was tempted by the new model but glad now I did not go for it! The Panasonic cordless irons seem really durable too, which is important to me. But as you note: they are nice and HOT, with plentiful steam, that is what counts. Hi Lorena, do you know the difference between the 602 and the 607 models? The prices are relatively similar, but I have found a couple of 602s that are like $15 cheaper. As far as I can tell, they're exactly the same except the six or seven has something called Advanced ceramic soleplate, and a 602 just has a regular ceramic soleplate. The whole damn thing might just be a marketing ploy. But I think they worked on me, so I'm going to get it. When I iron, I go Section by section, so I think this would be perfect for me. I love ironing.

    I have the Panasonic purple iron and I love it. I use it for piecing only and never run out of heat or steam, and a full water tank lasts a surprisingly long time. I don’t think these small, cordless irons are meant for ironing, I think they are more designed to press when quilting. It took some getting used to not being able to stand the iron up, but if I’m just putting it down to arrange a piece of whatever I’m pressing, I just set it on the ironing board for a few seconds, pick it back up and keep on pressing. Otherwise, it goes into the charger between pressing my pieces, and it has an automatic shut-off if you don’t use it after a certain amount of time, like ten minutes or so. If I need to actually iron fabric, I use my corded iron. Helpful Hint: buy a wool pressing mat. It will save you tons of time and effort ironing or pressing and you will have the flattest, most perfect wrinkle free fabric you could ever imagine. Can’t live without mine.

    I have the green one and it has started to leak badly it is actually the second one I have had... I'm so tired of cleaning up the puddle I have not taken it out of my quilting room.. I'm not happy I see the other one also has a removable tank.. so I wonder how long it will take for that one to start leaking..

      You can get the on amazon hsn and Walmart on line.. at the time they were 57$. Usually I iron something out it on charge while I’m moving fabric or pants around so 5 -10 minutes

    Has anyone with the Freestyle 360 heard a rattle when they dry iron? I haven't tried it with steam yet, but the rattle is making me crazy!

    • @ToniNov25
      @ToniNov25  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it does make a bumbling noise! I thought it was cause it was new?! The other iron doesn’t make that much noise!

      Lorena's Quilting. Thank you Lorena! I wanted to make sure it wasn't defective in some manner. I actually ordered the other aqua, less expensive iron first, but it is apparently on a slow boat from China! I decided to try the 360 and will most likely end up with both!

      @@ToniNov25 Hi Lorena, I asked bcus I was very undecided at the time and I didn’t know which one I wanted. I truly needed an automatic shut off iron as well as it being cordless which is a very important factor for me. I sometimes mistakenly leave my iron plugged up/on so I went on ahead and purchased the one I knew for sure was auto shut off which is the 360 602 model. I’m so excited I received it last week but thanks anyway.

    The Panasonic one with the cover is so dumb I hate mines. I can only iron for about 3 mins before I half to put it back on the base to reheat. What a dumb invention if you have a large garment to iron like a dress or even jeans
