Hi, Nice looking machine and a good price. I have made panels using black acrylic and you can use water based paint to fill in the text and it looks fantastic. Just remember to wipe of the excess with a damp cloth as soon as you have finished. Gold and silver look really good. Keep up the videos. Cheers Dave.
Thanks for the video. Definitely interested in this unit. I noticed something while watching your video that seemed odd. At 8:01 you are pulling the measure gauge out from under the laser module and you can see the module drop. This was after it was tightened. It seems like the module is not too secure when tightened all the way. This can allow the module to shake and wobble during operation which can cause all kinds of issues with accuracy. I have found this in a lot of lasers in this price point. Can you tell me if the laser module is tight and secure when tightened?
The price is awesome, doing some research on various machines at the moment and this one hat the best price. And if it works as good as you showed us, it will be on top of the list :)
Unfortunately PVC is one of those black listed materials as it creates hydrogen chloride gasses that damage laser cutters and toxic to humans. PVC is best used with a CNC router!
PLEASE build a cover for it and pipe the fumes either outside or thru activated carbon filters etc. Wood can severely damage you and what comes off other other materials also aren't what you want in your lungs. Have a look at what MakersMuse has to say as well. He won't review any open laser systems because of the fume danger. By the way same applies to the mill working on wood. A friend was a woodworker but the results on inhaling wood dust has severely damaged his health. It may be natural but so is arsenic.... 😀 Love what you are doing - just want you to be safe while doing it - not today but for years to come.

Yes absolutely. The module is very secure when tightened! 🤩

Absolutely 👍 Great to hear!!
Thanks. How thick wood can it cut?
No problem 🤩 I wouldn’t go beyond 20mm. But I’m sure that more than 20mm is possible. 👍👍
@@NEWTechCreativecan it cut PVC foamboard? I would love to use it for sign making
