The fact that both turbochargers and exhausts get white hot deeply worries me. That probably counts as engine stress too (even though you don't get told about it in-game at any time). Better to have an intercooler to keep the turbos from self-destructing every time. But that's just my guess.
@@dingus3182 I would say so as such a powerband is kinda useless. Can it be fun to drive? Yea... Could it be fun to drive + a more usable powerband? Yes!
@1:13 Yep, oversquare engines make the most horsepower. This makes the Veyron engine look tiny in comparision but it is more compact because it is a W-engine. @1:17 Good choice. Let it rev high.
Dude using devmeth is literally cheating, irl the compression alone would grenade this thing let alone the freaking cam profile. The fuel is the only thing holding that bomb together.
We run 15:1 on real life race engines with prochargers on real world methanol, which is supposedly equivalent to abot 130 octane on the US rating system (r+m/2). They usually run at least 15 psi, I've seen it set as high as 32 IRL, I personally know of 9 different guys in my city that run a similar setup. Admittedly the devmeth is pretty stupid octane but you can run 14:1 comp engines IRL on pump grade ethanol flex fuel, which can run as low as 50% ethanol content with the other 50% being 85 octane (US rated) gasoline, which only ever gets to 83% ethanol. And if you run E85R, which is 85% ethanol and 15% 91 octane (US) unleaded gasoline, you could run 15:1 comp with room for a lil nitrous shot, maybe7 lbs of boost if you wanna pull timing. That said his timing is insane and not realistic at all.
@@Prestiged_peck admittedly I am way more experienced with traditional 1000hp setups, my bias has got me in a pickle here, lol totally forgot cars can be run on straight meth. Damn.

I mean, I think the turbos are overheating since they get so hot the exhaust housing has become a lightbulb. They shouldn't be white, at most the hottest ones get maybe a luminescent yellow, not so white that they are literally melting. Its little wonder BeamNG says Turbocharger Overheating, its because its probably melting right off the exhaust manifold XD

on the first one make the compressor larger, on the no boost it may be a weird engine setup, tiny engines made as small as possible will not make boost, you have to have a minimum of 500 cc on a 3 cyl. to have it work well.
Late reply, but by the time the campaign even starts, the Inline 8 as a layout was abandoned for production cars since it's very long and costly (if Wikipedia is correct). That's still a good question, since there's very little reason to not have it as a DLC.

Maybe the turbo overheats due to no intercooler but does adding an intercooler add stress to the engine?
from my experience it dampens power, adds reliability but u can get the power back by upping the boost
