    You are incredible! It’s amazing to me how you think about everything, I’m referring to things like just pointing out that one flap of the handle is wider than the other. Things like that are the little details that make your tutorials the best I’ve ever seen! A fan forever! Rainbow Butterfly 🦋

      I made something similar, about 4 months ago. I use it to house my ephemera in plastic dvd sleeves, love it. I made the front divided though so the top half will drop down allowing easy access, and its narrow and long =) . Just make one for the fun of it, and fill it later ;)

  • @iteeshollow

    you can use scissors to cut the chipboard or a paper cutter. I have used both, usually start with the paper cutter but then because it doesnt cut through, i just end up using scissors. On the long sections it is a pain to cut because the chipboard is so stiff and wants to interfere with the cutting. but it is doable. I use fiskars shears and sharpener.
    Oh when you put the box together, its stronger if each of the sides, goes past the bottom on one end, say all the right ends. So you put on the back side flush on the left edge of the bottom but extends past the right. Then put the right side flush to that back piece you just put on, and extend past the front of the bottom piece. The put the front side piece flush with the right side piece and extend it past the front on the left. Then the last piece flush with the front side piece and extend past the bottom piece past the end of the first piece you put on. Wow, i bet thats confusing to follow, lol.

    Hola tengo una duda con la versión mini de los papeles puedo hacer todo el proyecto completo como tú lo haces?

    • @vectoriadesigns
      @vectoriadesigns  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Alexandra made this with the Standard kit. You can make it with the MINI kit, but you'll have less choice in which papers to use.

    I would love to make this into a box for a family history Memory Game. It will hold the memory cards and have on the outside some print collages of our family history documents etc. At the moment I have a lot of heavy chip board on hand and I am wondering if this will be too heavy or do you think I could use it?

    • @vectoriadesigns
      @vectoriadesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how *thick* your chipboard is. If it's thicker than 1.5 - 2mm it's necessary to change the dimensions of all the parts. This is possible, but there's quite a bit of math involved.

    Too bad you didn’t make a template in the kit of printouts so someone could just print this onto card stock and not have to fuss with all that measuring on top of scoring. I bought the kit and now I’m watching you build it.

    honestly, I think I'd cheat on this...hit up an Op/thrift store to see if they have any similar boxes OR a variety shop and see what they have in their gift box section...then I'd recover them in this/or whatever paper one has...

      hi there @@vectoriadesigns..well I got lucky and found the perfect box..Op shops are finally open here in Victoria Aus..found a lovely box that has dark blue exterior and it's a hinged box with a ribbon to stop it opening all the way..wish I could share a pic of it..it's cardboard/chipboard made..would need to make a journal first to then see if I can add compartments to it..the lid is angled down, so the lid is deeper at the front than the back and a little ribbon loop at front to lift it open..it's 31.5x26x10cm...on the barcode it says it's an A4 document box..going to be interesting to play with that..
