Yeah he has very awkward execution. You're grabbing the scroll too early because you're going to neutral before the hit on your pad/stick. Hold forward till you see the hit connect then go to neutral, that should help you with the execution here.

I'm having a hard time with the 2K version. For some reason I've yet to surmise, the combo always drops after 5D. The cling into 6D never connects! Any guesses as to what I'm doing wrong?
Just for clarity it drops between the 5H > cling > s.6D right? If you haven't already use 22P to cling to the scroll faster, you can input it like 22P~6D to fly off the scroll as soon as possible.

So, what I've found was the issue for me was this: if the ground combo leading up to 2D was too long, the positioning would be as such that the 2K combo wouldn't line up properly for 22P to catch a scroll. This is could be a matter of execution, but I've found that I can far consistently 22P onto a scroll when I do something short like 2K > c.S(1) > 2D
So, this video's great. I've been practicing all these bad boys, and have gotten more consistent at a fairly steady rate. But the one nut I've yet to crack are the ones like at 1:34. For whatever reason, instead of switching sides mid combo, s.7D knocks Sol back over to side I started on, ruining everything. It's proven completely inscrutable to me. Somebody, please, enlighten this filthy casual.
This is usually a case of where the opponents body is when they're first hit from the 6H, if they're very close to the scroll it'll hit as you expect it to, if they're farther away from the scroll you'll have it where you'll hit them with s.7D and they'll float behind you, then s.3D will still connect you just need to do 6K > Pscroll and then continue the combo.
I don't know if it actually works on Answer but you can combo into Slayer's and Potemkin's command grab if you hit one of that counter hits that stun first. Answer's counter HS would do if I'm not mistaken

Cool combos tho I don't get the annotations for example at first combo it said 6H (what is H?) but the movement was 2K. Enlighten me pls.
You're correct, the annotations refer to the combo after knockdown, the full notation would be 2k> c.S[3]> 2D > 214K > 214P > 66 6H and so on

Not a perfect meaty, it'll catch jump outs and a lot of buttons though. 5H into 22P is what you'd want to use for a stronger meaty or perhaps 2S > 5H,
anything besides overdrive and DP ever beat your 2d 214k 214p microdash 6H setup you showed first?
Might be wake up button and blitz?

Ah yeah. Its somewhat a matter of experience for that - you'll get a feel for when you're at the right distances for it.

No but you can do a reset to tech trap people into izuna drop.
