Hi, is it g major pentatonic scale or e minor? And everywhere i find that is e major. What the guitar theory is with that song?? I improvise like its gmajor..usually blues are minor but this goes completely with gmajor scale. Im really confused!!
Hi Dimitri. This song's key is E and its main riff is on E mixolydian. As in many classic rock songs, it's used what we can call "blues intention", so basically you play the minor blues scale of that key. In this case, you can use the E minor blues scale to improvise and this is the easiest one (this scale is relative to G major and there's a video about relatives in the channel). This is also the first scale I showed in the video. From that, you'll have more options to use such as the E major blues scale, E Mixolydian and so on. Those scales are the following ones in the video. I hope this helps you : )
@@skolknocker It's an American standard. usually for these videos I put the guitar straight in the audio interface and run all guitar effects on the garage band... Sometimes I mic my amp (Laney cub12) and record, but most times it's direct on the interface
