It is always more intressting when Grimgor is done seriously. For me hes the horror incarnate that the orc race is.
Horned Rat fuck the End Time's. And I think that I speak for everyone when I say that the Storm of Chaos was the TRUE 'Ending'. For anyone not familiar...the Everchosen had just defeated the reincarnation of Sigmar (Forgot his actual name) As he was about to finish 'Sigmar' Grimgor walked up behind him and delieved the strongest kick to the balls a two ton Black Ork could muster. He proceed to pick the Everchosen off the ground and shout in is face as loud, once again, as a two ton Black Ork could. And to finish it off he head butt the Everchosen into the fucking ground. Grimgor...headbutted the Everchosen...and came out the victor....The Everchosen undoubtedly having the most powerful, or close to armor in the entire Warhammer Fantasy Universe... That is a much better ending I think we can all agree.

the final boss would be archaon, where ironhide would get his revenge...or queek headtaker, since the dude is one of the best skaven warlords...combat-wise.

Incarnates: ..... " Waaagh, it is"

A lot of us do. In fact it would have been a better way too save the Old World then go straight too age of Shitmar.

whoever at gw that was responsible for the end times (I'm refusing to capitalize, they don't deserve it) and altering the fluff for it needs a good kick from Grimgor to the nuts'n teef

Not anymore - he is a tank that provides extra buffs to black orcs that make them super lethal! He is one of my favorite lords now…

Grimgor never killed Archaon in Storm of chaos (much to the dismay of Orc lovers all around the world)
He simply beat down Archaon as you said and then held his axe at Archaons throat and shouted that he was the best and then he and his ladz just fought their way out of the battle.
Storm of chaos was weird... grant you, im glad that at least its still cannon...but set in another universe (WTF GW??)
Also...nearly zoned out during End times, rolled my eyes and spaced out.

I love that the only thing that stopped Grimgor to take Hellpit was the smell.
Just to note-It took the Everchosen being all suped up on Chaos God magic and the addition of a Greater Demon's ability to kill Grimgor (With the beast magic). He is Da Best!

Very nice grimgore lore recap! This certainly deserves more likes!
I loved Storm of Chaos. The White Dwarf magazines about the campaign, the army lists, models and scenarios (yes, even that crazy 6000pts Chaos army versus the 3000pts Empire & Kislev) were great stuff. As was the the finale to the campaign even if it became kind of a farce with how Grimgor beat up Archaon. Warhammer was always a bit tongue in cheek even during its darkest moments.
Awesome video Loremaster, Grimgor is my favorite Warhammer character, so needless to say, I really enjoyed it!
I really hope they DO NOT give Grimgor a Wyvern or any kind of mount. Choices are nice for the players, but I think Grimgor is an iconic warrior that slogs it out on foot, with the rest to the boyz, and get stuck in. Perhaps this would be one of his drawbacks, or negative aspects, considering that he should be the toughest infantry melee lord in the game.

I always felt the orks were linked to khorne. Of all the races they are instinctual fighters. They probably have spilled more blood than the warriors of chaos ever hoped too. They crave eternal fighting. It's almost as if khorne made them. Yet the orks have no link to chaos

What if for the blood forged armor the iron was boiled out of the blood of the rune priests and warrior dwarves giving the suit the natural magic resistance it is possible but it'd take most likely thousands of dwarves to collect enough iron from the blood
Hey Loremaster? I was wandering how do you think the greenskins will play in a total war game? personally I think the orcs will be more like barbarians with high charge bonuses but not much staying power, goblins just meat shields? and not sure about monsters either. great video btw

So, how would things change in a Grimgor vs Khazrak fight, since Khazrak has an armor that essentially negates the magical enchantments on other weapons and armors close to him?

When the supposed final boss of the entire saga needed to use his final form to defeat what was supposedly, to the thoughts of many, as the first boss.
Like, Grimgor could probably have stalemated that if he wasn't caught off guard by Archaon's powerup

This made me more hyped for the Tzarina than anything else, to be honest.
+Julius Nilsson Grimgor beating up Archaon in storm of chaos was a defining moment of the second and the reason it was so enjoyable to begin with: Things might be grim and dark and terrifying but something silly will inevitably happen to shake things up. Now, everything is just dark and terrible and it gets grating. It's silly, in a lack of better words.

I remember getting shit on pretty bad by kholek in warhammer total war as the greenskins, just dumb how he would crush my armies. Then grimgor faced off with him and smashed him

great video well done but i have to tell you that the black orks invaded orge kingdoms after they free them selfs from chaos draft and then they made strong holes even after the unite of ogre kingdom under the tyrant the were puss back tho their stronghold never abandon their lands they had strike with a waaaagh deep inside orge land olny to defended by unite orge force under tyrant rule as you said but never leave they lands
+Loremaster_of_Sotek no my friend you are totally wrong there is no such thing I got the orge army book in my hands and it's says. ..It all began with a great black ork invasion since they escape the enslavement of chaos dwarf they settled in the mountains of mourn the ogres could not eradicate the orks from their midst so there is no reference that they some of them moved. even after their defeat they withdraw back to their strong holes the ones which may leave the area were other greenskin that were atract by the waaaagh of Urk Ironskull not the black orks. anyway the are many reference that in dark land there are numerous ork tribes tha were consist only black orks just because of the harsh environment so probably grimgor came from one of this tribe .you can check everything I told you in the orge army book in page 27 -29 thanks

mmmh Grimgor on a wyvern... playing with Ungrim, a lot of Slayers, gyrocompers and a few cannons seem like the best way to deal with that... or most likely piss him off.

Well when you get him fully upgraded in warhammer 2, he's imo one of the 3 best melee fighters in the game.

The interesting thing is, Grimgor is actually smart enough to talk in full sentences. (Black orcs were bred for smarts as much as for strength.) He just doesn't care to.

Been trying to get a good time line in my head i would like to also know what planet this is on and why are there different Races if u mind explaining it to me.
Matthew B this is warhammer fantasy not 40k completely different setting only thing that connects 40k to fantasy is the dark gods
Grimgor is actually quite a bit underpowered in TW Warhammer.... Even though he got buffed a bit recently. Because he is only on foot he is very vulnerable against all kinds of flyers, they can just divebomb him to death, even if it only is a empire general on a Griffon(not that Griffons are bad but Grimgor is da biggest and bestest beastkiller you will find in the ranks of the orcs so he shouldn´t really get shit on so easily.) Also, Gitsnick is just a flat temporary buff to his AP damage and his armour is only a passive buff in campaign and cannot even be brought in multyplayer. He is not a bad duellist per se and probably capable of 1v1ing most legendary lords if they don´t bring a mount(apart from Kholek who´s just gonna knock him around too much, Possibly Throgg but I haven´t tryed it out yet and Grombrindal which can end either ways)...
As much I remember, Archon Everchosen DID NOT kill Grimgor!

I have a question regarding some things mentioned in Grimgores lore.
What the fuck was Ungrim doing while the fucker was basicly ravaging his land and killing his armies?
Wasn´t Ungrim supposed to be an insane death seeker, willing to throw himself at everything that looked remotly capable of killing him.
And what was Thorgrim doing when that happended. Shouldn´t he have led an army to help Ungrim wipe out the orks?
+Loremaster_of_Sotek Thanks for the answer, even though it does not make any sense what so ever. Im very uneducated when it comes to Warhammer lore and usually get my info from videos like this. This part of Grimgores fluff however makes the end times blush in comparison.
If I have learned anything from your lore videos, it would be that Ungrim would have hunted down Grimgore like a dog the moment he found out what he did. And Grimgore being Grimgore means that it would be very easy to do so.

Sadly, Ghazkull would win. Not only is he bigger and stronger than Grimgor, but he's much smarter. Ghazkull is, by greenskin standards, a tactical genius who utilizes relatively advanced large-unit tactics and can easily be the superior of Crom the Conquerer, let alone anyone Grimgor has fought. Plus, Mega Armor and a Power Klaw. Gitsnik cannot cut Mega Armor.

Honestly, grimgor has the Ultimate plot armour. He generally defies any logic and just exists so orc fans have this standard badass character.
And People complain about tyrion...
But Grimgor is the best! He's so utterly ridiculous that he almost is satirical. Grimgor is "Why Not" incarnate. For the love of Gork and Mork, in Storm of Chaos (I seriously wish this was STILL canon), this ~2 metric ton black orc covered in heavy armor snuck up on Archaeon (somehow), kicked him so hard in the nads that the Everchosen wakes up in the night in a cold sweat to this day, clutching his manhood, screamed at him, then headbutted him into unconsciousness only to wander his massive green ass to the World's Edge Mountains, because bored. So griping about his "plot armor" is like taking Stevie Wonder to the Louvre.
I hate those fancy crown wearing gits riding on big pigeons.

Hey dude. Just me again. I just wanted to know how progress was going for you. Like what lore videos you might be releasing next. Because I was looking forward to your Thorgrim and Dwarf videos.
And I wanted to know how you felt about possibly doing a video or two on the 3 lesser factions of Estalia, Kislev, and Tilea down the line. I think you could really do those factions justice. And no offense to Arch, but you give these videos some feeling and really make them fun to watch and listen to, while he always seems to have a "business" type of tone to his videos.
And while I think it would be pretty freaking awesome if you did all the minor factions like Araby, Nippon, Ind, and Cathay. Heck even if you did one on the Hobgoblin Khanates, that'd be pretty cool too. But those would be just "what they could be in TW:W" type videos. But those wouldn't be for quite SOME time.
But I think you could just do Tilea, Estalia, and Kislev, and it'd still be great. And like I said before, you could really do those 3 factions real justice, especially since they're actually in the game. And I really think there's things they could do for them to make them different from the Empire and Bretonnia, in particular Tilea, with all those mercenaries.
But I'm wanting to sound like I'm trying to pester you to put them at the front of stuff you're doing, but I just think you could do these 3 factions some real justice and maybe even make CA look and say "Hmm, maybe we should do some stuff with those guys".

So lets see how this all worked out...uh oh. Insanely slow, very slow swing speed, worst overall greenskin lord, one of the worst selectable lords period, and has lower health than Skarsnik who is maybe three feet tall. Whoops.
