Once they announced they were going to Cata, I quit playing wotlk. I was so bummed out. Maybe one day, maybe one, they will run from classic and start new and unique expansions that keep the classic faith
Not for arena though. Because you'd end up playing the same comps that work, over and over and over. TBC Classic was boring in that sense for arena players. The same happened to Wrath Classic.
I feel as though there are a lot of people, myself included, that really wanted to experience Classic Vanilla/BC/Wrath as they were released. But due to one reason or another never got the chance to, or didn't want to start late into an expansion. Having a cycle of these expansions being released every 6 years or so (maybe an even shorter time period) would give those people a chance to experience it without feeling like they missed their only chance, personally I love the idea
mainly due to people whining about certain QoL Changes, also blizzard trying to 'please everyone' but end up pissing everyone off. "No changes until we personally decide something" it wasn't even about what the playerbase wanted, throughout TBC Classic they made numerous changes just because the devs thought it was a good idea. That dude got fired and doesn't even work for blizzard anymore
I started az TBC and that made a huge impact on me, best ever game ever.... that experience kept me going for further expansions, wrath was ok, cataclysm i quit (that was horrible compare to tbc), then i cant even remember the name sof the expansions i didnt really care anymore, last i pushed was the MOP and that was quite good for the challenge modes, then i just bought the next 2 3 epxansions to try and lvl up but no real experience... and years from now i didnt even log in. CATA isn't "classic era". CATA is just a worse version of retail. The funniest thing about this change, is that the "classic snob" players who cast dispersions on people for being a "retail scrub" will now all be playing retail themselves.
YES PLEASE!!!! WE WANT BC Era Blizzard!!! There's a whole community wanting BC Era!! We didn't get to experience it like we wanted to the first time, whether that be burnout from just finishing vanilla, not being finished with vanilla, or just taking a break in general. I feel BC especially and possibly even Wrath deserves it's one Era server as that is the original version of the game before everything changed. I love the cycle of every 2 years per version of the game starting with vanilla, then BC, then onto Wrath and having an overflow Era server for each version of the game that is unchanged with no wow token, no in game transaction paid for mounts or any of that sort, and no paid for character boost. Would also love to start a new character on each of these servers starting at level 1 were gdkp's are monitored, bots are banned, gold selling/buying is bannable, and one where we can call home again without loads of gold being in the game.
Tier 5 TBC was the pinnacle of the Classic trio for me, with downing pre-nerf Lady Vashj as the top highlight of the xpac. I've seen your posts on X as well, and am in complete agreement with you. Our guild just wrapped up raiding in Wrath post HLK, and are enjoying SoD and its fun and casual nature. But even just this week I've heard from guild members they would be pumped for another TBC experience. I'd jump in right away if given the opportunity.
Im glad Im subscribed to this channel who can spread some good message like this video, I've played through mid-tbc to all wotlk and I had a lot of achivements and funs on both expension. they clearly could at least give one server wotlk and tbc for all the people not interested into cata or just the next expension. it doesn't cost that much lol. I would love to let my character on a wotlk server instead of being forced to play on cata
I agree, especially because I couldn't play the game since the launch of classic servers in 2019 til now, to focus on real life matters. Blizzard, I authorize. TBC hype! TBC hype!
Whilst I don't really agree with your take on SoD, I do agree with pretty much everything else. I was frustrated when they didn't keep TBC after moving to Wrath, then now they are not keeping Wrath either and who is even going to play Cata? I think the 6 year rotating thing is probably the best option, it would keep things "new" rather than just forever on the last phase.
I've been playing on era lately and it's great. I think the pop took a hit with HC and SOD but I can still get groups easily. The thing is, though, none of those end game concerns you listed really effect me, since I just like leveling. I can get why you wouldn't want to start playing on a server where so many people have been clearing naxx for years. But if you just want to level and maybe find a low tier guild to do elite quests, dungeons or pug some raids with, you can do that surprisingly easily.
Era is literally unplayable with how much inflation there is, you really wanna save up 40k gold just to buy edge masters? Fresh private servers are all we have left.
@@justinb8297 ngl i literally just reroll every time i get to sixty haha. for us casual altaholics, if anything the inflated economy just makes it trivially easy to buy your mount(not sure this is a good thing for muh classic experience though)

I'm right here with you my guy. While I enjoyed wrath, it was kind of spoiled by the token nonsense. I'm still only level 74 because I just couldn't be bothered to level further. By that point the magic was gone. Whereas with TBC I power grinded my way to 70 almost immediately. the community felt alive and genuine. It wasn't the same as the OG run of classic but it was still pretty dang good. I had some of my fondest memories of this rereleased expansions with TBC, I was there on Grob for the night of the opening of the dark portal and the ensuing chaos in Hellfire peninsula over the next week or two. It was genuinely fun to level, to encounter people out in the world, to have Organic skirmishes that I felt I had a chance to win (I played destro at the time. Back when Shadowfury was good) Now, I play SOD and only really get that feeling once every now and then. world PVP feels so inorganic and lopsided, especially in ashenvale and Stranglethorn now. Rogues ceased to be the bane of my existence and now its druids. the new raids are treated like they are retail raids and everyone and their mothers need to have run things before, have consumables and world buffs before even attempting to get into groups. Its treated as a fucking job interview, meanwhile the one group I made myself back before P2 made up of others like me cleared BFD and only wiped once to the second to last boss. I think the best case scenario I personally can hope for is a SOD BC release.
@@kevintyrrell7409 What do you mean slippery slope? You just release the same TBC that was released but with dual spec and you draw the line. That's it. Nothing more. Actually, they would also need to remove boosts and maybe implement season of mastery mechanics. Dual spec is crucial to be in the game because not having it is making some people play the game less. Imagine warrior tank, or holy priest. Do you think anyone is going to spend 2 hours to farm 100g to respec to pvp and then back?
Being able to revisit TBC ruined Classic Era, WotLK Classic, and retail for me. I love everything about the expansion. I play on Netherwing now. I would LOVE if Blizzard introduced a TBC server again.
@EntitySteel I go online with friends and have a guild and the last time I pugged a dungeon this week, Classic Wrath, 2 mins wait as a DPS, so my server is not dead, all the puggers did was argue. The community splits itself by this behaviour. I want to play the version of the game I like, hence why I said I'd be up for era servers.
@EntitySteel I'm pretty sure Blizzard could handle the costs between the millions of subs per month as well as the micro transaction... I'm sure they're doing OK and as for the split community, if you look at the WoW forums and see the number of people requesting Wrath and TBC servers, there's a definite demand. So I'll stand by my post, thanks
the real question is... do we want fresh TBC again? or our old characters? I can see both working... but I do miss my sunwell geared hunter that only got thoridal the last week before wotlk i would love to relevel and experience each phase again too
@troy_bernauer lucky to get that bow. Were you a hunter back when TBC turned to wotlk around 2007? I remember the pre-wotlk patch weeks before it came out basically made hunters invincible and unstoppable. beast master hunter was just so broken you'd get utterly insane DPS in the sunwell.

TBC has the best raid, Karazhan. there's more heart in 1 inch of that place than all of retail dungeons combined. TBC still felt like vanilla in so many ways, however, it still had big problems looking back and started some really terrible things. I love TBC, but still: -flying mounts are just bad. it doesn't matter. that should've never been something we experienced. we should always view the skies as off limits in some way. -hunter pet changes -some homogenization with classes -heroic badges and heroic dungeon difficulty. -I'm not sure TBC should have been on a different map. felt too much like two different places. like there was the regular world and then you went on a vacation to outland. -"touch and grab" quests. -"vehicle quests" aka flying on a mount dropping bombs. -many more QoL things that made it too easy. -in game purchases / Recruit-a-Friend rewards. -too many new currencies based on the zone. honor old marks, zangarmash tokens, Shards of whatever. -RESILIENCE / new combat rating system sucks. -auchiondoun / hellfire citadel dungeons needed some work. -draenei are a questionable choice for new addition. but still... ok.. I guess. Right? -Left too many loose ends back in the old bizarre, antiquated azeroth quests. -new spells/abilities nullified a lot of places and mechanics in azeroth (to be expected at some level) -arena should have been in open world, not zones. That one place in nagrand would've worked. Where people could watch, you know? -the worst one of all...... DAILY QUESTS. we can never forgive TBC for introducing daily quests, one of the prime evils that turned Wow into retail. -the starting zones for draenei and blood elves were forgettable tbc. they did not need their own cities. exodar/silvermoon should've been smaller or different. -eye of the storm was pretty bad, TBH. I mean, it was like a C+. it's completely ruined in retail now that you can push people off cliffs. -Wellfare epics, especially from PVP. Probably many more I'm just not thinking of. However, I still consider TBC 10/10, A+. Vanilla was just better. I know this last one's difficult, but I also think raising the level cap 10 levels was a mistake. I'm not sure how to fix that, I haven't given it too much thought, but still, something else maybe was the right answer.
I like the idea of rinse and repeat but eventually that's just going to make Blizz end up with a bunch of dead servers as the vanilla>TBC>Wrath cycle repeats itself over and over. Sure they could just wipe it all away with every full reset but people wouldn't be too happy to have their characters wiped. In my opinion I think SOD could be really fun with TBC content so I am hoping once the vanilla phases are over they eventually move onto something like that.
I was 7 years old when TBC came out and I was not able to play this game back in the days because family was torn apart… When I played tbc classic with my friends somehow I just felt like I’m a kid again. Once they announced they were going to Cata, I quit playing wotlk. I was so bummed out. Maybe one day, maybe one, they will run from classic and start new and unique expansions that keep the classic faith
100% agree on this! TBC was the ultimate version of this game 🙏🏻
TBC server would be great and by far best expansion.
Ive been asking for tbc era servers for awhile. Glad im not alone
TBC was also extremely good in PVP. Fights didn’t end in 3 seconds.
We needed and we need Burning Crusade Era
Lets start a petition for TBC.

Cuz why? None of them could give meg that hype what TBC gave me.
"sod is casual beta test" so true
Yeah it’s a blast
Not if you play it hardcore! I have an avg 99 parse for both BFD and Gnomer, pvp rank 5, exalted with WSG and AB, revered with commerce authority, all runes found, 6 alts capped, have every pattern in the game for all my professions, over 1k gold, all the available mounts and mini pets, all quests in the game completed other than the 20 in my log ready to turn in. Just do that!

I my early 20's I just had an amazing time during the TBC era in 07 - 08. Still get nostalgic thinking about it. Havent played any computer games since
I would 100% play a TBC server. Was the best expansion they made.
Abso-fucking-lutely.
I played vanilla OG through Legion. I played Nostalrius. I signed the petition. Played Classic. Played TBC Classic. Wrath Classic. Now Classic Era. You get the point.
Bottomline, after all of this, having played WoW and it’s rerun. I can say without any doubt whatsoever that TBC is IT. Peak WoW.
God, properly balanced TBC servers would be amazing. I am so down.
me and my group of friends have said we wanted TBC to come back since it went away it is by far our favorite xpac TBC HYPE
I found this tbc petition that was made a month or 2 ago for tbc servers to come back.
Its by Kash B if anyone wants to look it up and get this train going
Classic 2019 -TBC was amazing.
The TBC Hype was UNREAL.
TBC is the best Expansion.
Vanilla is the basegame.
TBC was and has always been arguably the mid tierest of wow expansions, sure it added arenas but the game was not ready for it, sure it added flying but game wasnt ready for it, it was the biggest couldve been but never was of all the expansions and seems to be widely regarded as the default opinion.
@@AntisnakeYT if TBC is mid then everything else is F tier
Tbc is bad expension pack its literaly made by new hires after they kicked the og vanilla wow developers.
@@lazarus8453 if we are to go by the best PvE guild Leaders & Players throught wows history and PvP players and legends still competing today, its pretty clear they all favor mist of pandaria for its PVE race & the balance and design regarding pvp, its some trend that keeps coming back among top pve & pvpers and its been said many times if u look at "best expansion x player" interviews.
Agree. TBC is the best expansion and would play.
Tbc era server tomorrow...this is my one and only reason to come back to wow and i would sign a lifetime Sub
make ERA server for all the holy trinity expansions (Vanilla/TBC/Wotlk). Dont add any shop items/services in them. Add Joyous Journeys weekends rotating through all periods, so you can level alts in all expansions.
TBC actually got the most playtime out of me vs vanilla and wotlk
Would love to get classic tbc or a classic tbc-PLUS and not rushed content like 1 year and then over. Because that caters only to the tryhards and rushers.
Who usually rush to max, then complain they got nothing to do.
Also if they would do some tbc-plus thing, NO wow token, NO level boost. You want to play?
Then you pay your sub and start playing/working for it like everyone else did. This handholding/spoon feeding bs need to stop yesterday. A tbc-plus that uses old Azeroth world ftw.
TBC HYPE! TBC HYPE! I feel kinda the same. I would love either a dedicated TBC or Wrath server as they were my favorite expansions. I'll try Cata, but I wasn't impressed with it all those years ago and I don't expect it to feel different this time around.
6 year rotating from classic to BC to wrath with ERA servers for each would awesome!
Must have faction balance, no boosts and no token.
Classic hype!
BC hype!
WOTLK hype!
TBC was hands down the best version of WoW. It fixed all of classic's problems while remaining balanced and challenging. One of the best games of all time.
I fucking love TBC but Vanilla max level content is far superior from a nostalgia standpoint.
I started playing in TBC and unfortunately didn't have a PC to enjoy the TBC re release. I only got back in during Wrath. I'd ABSOLUTELY play TBC all day every day. TBC HYPE TBC HYPE
CATA isn't "classic era". CATA is just a worse version of retail. The funniest thing about this change, is that the "classic snob" players who cast dispersions on people for being a "retail scrub" will now all be playing retail themselves.
Tbh, Cata is better than retail.
They won't play it, the nostalgia ends with wrath.
I'm the most excited about the PvP, like the comps seem so fcking fun
As someone who didn’t get to really experience TBC, I’d be there. I think about playing classic era but would rather play on a fresher server.
Season of Discovery with TBC would be kinda nice. They could tweak the raids by making buffs raid-wide for example
Keep the aids fest that is SoD in the garbage SoD servers.
Blizzard really messed up not creating a classic TBC/Wrath ERA server. I wish I could still play my TBC classic era rogue.
TBC HYPE TBC HYPE
You think you do, but you don't
@@brnmcc01 I do
Tier 5 TBC was the pinnacle of the Classic trio for me, with downing pre-nerf Lady Vashj as the top highlight of the xpac.
I agree, TBC with faction balance would be a blast
I fucking want TBC so badly.
The ONLY Exp i really wanna play.
I want TBC !
I agree, especially because I couldn't play the game since the launch of classic servers in 2019 til now, to focus on real life matters. Blizzard, I authorize. TBC hype! TBC hype!
I haven’t played since 2012. This whole time I thought there were 60/70/80 locked servers.
Add tbc era.
Man I miss tbc. Was my favorite the first time around and in classic.
@@justinb8297 yeah that's fair but i don't want to save up for edge masters
Well it sucks for any warrior that isn't human, you literally need those gloves 😂
@@justinb8297 ngl i literally just reroll every time i get to sixty haha. for us casual altaholics, if anything the inflated economy just makes it trivially easy to buy your mount(not sure this is a good thing for muh classic experience though)
@@justinb8297 you really don't "need" them, there aren't any really hard dps checks in the game and you already do more dps than any other class without them
just one of those weird mindsets that classic players are stuck in
I'm right here with you my guy.
Back when Shadowfury was good)
Now, I play SOD and only really get that feeling once every now and then. world PVP feels so inorganic and lopsided, especially in ashenvale and Stranglethorn now.
Burning Crusade with dual spec is everything I need.
@dawidmynarczyk214 This is the slippery slope. No way. If you let one major change like that through, people are going to beg for more.
Only if they get rid of flying mounts.
I would be fine with pvp spec that activates when you enter arena/bg.
TBC is my prefered version of wow, its wow in its most ideal and complete form.
Classic to me is Vanilla, TBC and Wrath. A 6 year cycle would be great.
@AzAMOuS Couldnt agree more. TBC was prime
TBC and Wrath servers with faction balance would be amazing
Being able to revisit TBC ruined Classic Era, WotLK Classic, and retail for me. I love everything about the expansion. I play on Netherwing now. I would LOVE if Blizzard introduced a TBC server again.
There's no down side to having classic, TBC and Wrath era severs. I'd be up for that
Except, yknow, continuing to split the community and the architectural costs.
the classic era servers are virtually dead, the TBC servers would be the same, just as the Wrath ones are already pretty much dead too
@EntitySteel I go online with friends and have a guild and the last time I pugged a dungeon this week, Classic Wrath, 2 mins wait as a DPS, so my server is not dead, all the puggers did was argue.
@@garrybessant826 That's cool, they're not going to do it just to be nice to you specifically, so your post is still silly.
TBC enjoyer is here, I'm in!
the real question is... do we want fresh TBC again? or our old characters? I can see both working... but I do miss my sunwell geared hunter that only got thoridal the last week before wotlk
i would love to relevel and experience each phase again too
@troy_bernauer lucky to get that bow.
Were you a hunter back when TBC turned to wotlk around 2007? I remember the pre-wotlk patch weeks before it came out basically made hunters invincible and unstoppable. beast master hunter was just so broken you'd get utterly insane DPS in the sunwell.
@@Arcexey yes sir. i miss it. i didn’t play much of wrath as life took over, but bc was a hell of a lot of fun for me. played all phases and enjoyed hunter a lot
Blizzard please bring back TBC....
TBC has the best raid, Karazhan. there's more heart in 1 inch of that place than all of retail dungeons combined.
TBC still felt like vanilla in so many ways, however, it still had big problems looking back and started some really terrible things. I love TBC, but still:
-flying mounts are just bad. it doesn't matter. that should've never been something we experienced. we should always view the skies as off limits in some way.
-hunter pet changes
-some homogenization with classes
-heroic badges and heroic dungeon difficulty.
-new spells/abilities nullified a lot of places and mechanics in azeroth (to be expected at some level)
-arena should have been in open world, not zones.
A friend sent this to me today after I literally downloaded a TBC private server this morning. I miss TBC so much really hope they make it!!
I truly miss TBC
I like the idea of rinse and repeat but eventually that's just going to make Blizz end up with a bunch of dead servers as the vanilla>TBC>Wrath cycle repeats itself over and over. Sure they could just wipe it all away with every full reset but people wouldn't be too happy to have their characters wiped. In my opinion I think SOD could be really fun with TBC content so I am hoping once the vanilla phases are over they eventually move onto something like that.
Everyone lost their TBC characters because of the cloning system.
I was 7 years old when TBC came out and I was not able to play this game back in the days because family was torn apart… When I played tbc classic with my friends somehow I just felt like I’m a kid again. Every time I listen to the music of the blood elf starting zone I have the same feeling and I can’t explain why.
Lol have you been reading the forums Az? I’ve posted about that exact Classic 6-year repeat rotation on the eu forums recently, with one era server per era.
