Beautiful work . I am very concerned that Michigan does not seem to have anyone in public life to fight for the Detroit hub . I hope someone steps . All the best from CLE
Just can’t till the feeling of all those icons are being either scrapped or mod into a cargo......MD-11 that thing lookin fine the first time I saw one of this was in Seattle Tacoma and it was a Fedex Cargo and I thought that was the Trident cus that was backin the only tri jet I know😂😂😂 But damn that thing jus COOL~ U gotta love airplanes they jus one of the most beautiful thing ppl ever built~~~
Awesome vid man! I’m trying to maybe get to O’Hare for a little plane spotting after my birthday in a few weeks! Any tips for spots or where police might question you?
🇫🇷 video intéressante comme nos avions. " magnifiques souvenirs " - MD -88 et MD- 90 aussi. Boeing - 767-300 ER - 757 - constructeurs remarquables = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ des ✈️ qui volent encore à ce jour.
@@donniefleuryy.29 The original 3 terminals: Davey, Smith, and Barry are long gone. Some the the Smith terminal, could still be seen last winter. The Davey terminal eventually housed Northwest; Smith was for all other carriers; Berry was the international and charter terminal.
Yep, unfortunately they aren’t cost effective for the airline to keep around. From what I’ve heard from inside sources, they’re keeping some of the 767s around for a bit longer along with the A330s to replace some of the 777 routes. With the arrival of new A330neos and A350s, most likely the 767s and older A330s will be retired
With the 777 its really 2 very different sub fleets with the ER being the only 8 aircraft in the fleet using the RR Trent 800 and the LR being the only 10 A/c in the fleet using the GE90. It is a lot better logistically keeping aircraft that use the PW4000 such as the A330 or 767. There are 110+ a/c in the Delta fleet that a spare PW4000 engine can go on vs the 8 a Trent 800 can. As far as the 767 and a330-200 goes, they may be older but it is a small widebody and fills a unique operating gap for some international routes that dont have the demand to fill a larger plane such as the 330-300 or 350
Hey was up I’m Chris I’m in Utica Michigan just want to Meet other spotters local Seems dtw has none maybe I can come meet up with you down at dtw sometime? Let me know
Thursday May 21, 2020 President Donald Trump is expected to travel to Michigan to visit a Ford manufacturing plant - will they let you on the parking structure when AF1 is onsite?
This is probably the best plane spotting I’ve seen yet, lets keep doing this 👍

I wish that Delta's MD-88s and MD-90s weren't being retired so soon. And sadly, I never even got to fly on one. The Maddog was always my favorite.😢😭
I know I say this every time, but your work is just so fantastic. I hope to more from DTW in the future
I very much appreciate the support!!
Wonderful shots at DTW, love the new camera!

Weird we keep ending up at the same airport on the same day with now the same camera lol
AX53 good!!!! 👍
How many airplanes takeoff and land here a day?
it's sad that there are probably very few people on these planes.
Great video though.
I remember when DTW-SFO was a DC-10 route!! Good old days on Northwest!
Good show.

Yep. Deployed after departure and the crew turned around and landed

An A380 is capable of landing at DTW, but I think you’re right, I don’t think there’s ever been one at DTW.

15:21 I thought they started do not pait job in 2014
sad that DL is retiring the 777s what about the 330-200s they have to be older

bye bye MD80 and 90 Delta !!!
FIRST
More short rotations
Does anyone realize that about 95% of those planes were from Delta airlines.
Yes, Delta has its second largest hub at DTW.
