Tabassum ji, before this moment I was not at all knowing anything about manmohan ji except he was most preferred artist for character rolls in Hindi Cinema. People of India must thank god for having you right in the middle as a stronger than strongest connection which is allowing many generations to come across and identify and value world before our existence and learn to care world till the end we breath last. I love old actor and his acting
Manmohan Krishna had a very beautiful voice.
He sang two songs for Burman Dada [Jath Khol De Kiwar Pat ... and Sadhu Ke Ghar ...] in the 1950 Naveketan Banner Classic "AFSAR" as well as another song [Ye Zindagi Hai Yo Yo ...] under Anil Da in the 1951 Classic "AARAM".
Wish he sang many more.

I am amazed how these old film artists used to speak pure Urdu apart from Hindi! I saw many in your videos Tabassum aunty and wonder why today's artists can not speak Urdu?
bhai pahli baat urdu was the prevalent and even today prevailing language all over india but these days you know who is trying to kill that language and promote Hindi. doosri baat yeh hai ke aaj kal ke actors so called hindi bhi sahi nahi bol paate sab angrez ki chatti aulaad bane hue hain, ekka dukka actor ko chod kar sabhi angrezi bolna apne liye garv ki baat samajhte hain unhein yeh bhi nahi maaloom jo apne roots se hath ta hai woh moo ke bal girta hai bilkul khokla pan dikhta hai aur even english bhi sahi hi kahan bolte hain bus artificial aur superficial lagti hai.
Bcoz most of them came from Punjabi background where Urdu was widely used.
First of they were professionals and passionate about their craft second more than that communilism was at a minimum. Their thought process did not include Hindu Muslim divide. Very simple.
Because most of these artists were punjabi. Where urdu was commonly used. Delhi still has street signs in hindi,english, punjabi and urdu. Im punjabi and my grandparents read and wrote urdu fluently. Just a sign of times, nothing more. Urdu came from hindi and persian. There was an age of sanskrit, an age of farsi , and age of english. Time passes and society changes. its more about english and hindi now. No shame in not speaking urdu...its simply not a part of our lives today. The partition also played a large role in that happening. It culturally just evolved out of general publics life.
