So we decided that we were going to play golf even if there is still 5 feet of snow outside here in Canada. This week is the biggest golf tournament of the year... The Masters. So that is why we wanted to try this new sport that we called Hockey-Golf. Thanks for watching this competition.

Just a hint to save ya's some energy,,,,
Instead of using heavy lumber, ya may want to start constructing the greens out of ,,,say, maybe some hard thick dense blue styrofoam or maybe there's even a green colour for styrofoam these days ?
And then ya wont need any 2x8, or 2x4's etc ,,,,Just use some really thick styrofoam and the hole will be deep enough for a puck, possible a tennis ball as well. I suggest styrofoam, only because it is very sturdy n durable, at least the thick stuff is anyway and its light and easy to handle too ;-))
I think using a tennis ball could make it interesting and if yous use a tennis ball then you can design a course outside - whether in a backyard, a field, or near some hilly terrain & still use hockey sticks etc.... But, I would probably not use
2x8's and plywood - just say n ;-)
, , , and if your having to transport the greens to a rink or where ever , then maybe make them so they are collapsible ? Unless your just throwing them in the back of an SUV or Pick Up etc......
