My girlfriend is Waray, we met in New Zealand when she moved here with her family. Everything in the video sounds just like her, it's great to learn even more new things on your channel
P, your video was a real eye opener! I never knew the Waray culture had such depth and diversity. It's awesome to see how you and your friends embrace your heritage with such pride, especially the part about the expressive eyes and radiant smiles now I see why Leyte has such charm! Your honesty about cultural nuances, like the fast talking myth and the direct approach in relationships, really paints a vibrant picture of Waray life. I also like the Egyptian portrait of you at the end. Must be hard climbing up those Egyptian pyramids. 😀
Fun and informative, Pea! A man with a true interest in your culture would pursue more of what is present in the Philippine's and not necessarily settle for all that good information which you and your guests share! Rose is a gift! Each of the ladies were great in their own rights, but Rose's Waray maturity stood out! Thank you for sharing, Pea!
I’m very interested in strong women, like Valkyries and Celts. I really enjoyed learning about them. My missus is Filipina and she told me all about the Warari. Very good video. Salamat
My Asawa is Waray from northern samar, where we live now, We love your channel and watch nearly every video you release. Like you we like to rescue local furbabies and currently serve 21 of them. I’m in the U.S. and visited the Philippines for the first time, a year ago. Shortly after my return to the U.S., me and a young woman in the Samar region have been communicating long distance. A lot of what was covered in this segment has provided some very useful and wonderful insight! Salamat, Pea! 😊
Good evening Pea, interesting how different cultures and tribes of the Philippines have influenced unique Traditions, and a variety of different languages. Very informative 😊 Thanks Pea, have a good weekend 😊❤
Waray sounds like the perfect woman. We men want a woman who will go to battle with you. Not a soft woman who requires constant protection. One that adds to the total sum of the pair and makes it stronger. I’ve been talking to a woman from southern Leyete. This video explains a lot. Thanks Pea.
@@RealHillbilly na. My Waray GF relied on Tampo. Had to encourage her to complain. And she was not willing to fight the authorities using their rules because she used tampo instead. Fatalism really. Frankly I think its bullshit. The Philippines relies on drama. Especially strict fathers who brook no arguement, so kids learn tampo instead. Yeah I am calling bullshit
Thanks Pea for another great video. I married a Filipina about 10 years ago. Have been to the Philippines a few times. Grown to love the country and its people and culture. ❤
Great video Pea! 🙂 Yes, you hear the same saying, especially from those that just watch videos on YT made by westerners, that Filapinas are "all the same"... That is a very short sighted, inexperienced comment. The Philippines has rich cultural differences and diversity that most people just don't know about... Everything that I know about the Philippines I learned from your channel, and my own experiences, since I began visiting in late Spring (Spring in the US) of 2022... I spend an average of 6 months a year there, and I learn more and more from you, and my visits each time. If you want to truly learn about a culture, you must choose your teacher wisely, and go there to immerse yourself in the culture... Don't just rely on YT videos from foreigners that are mostly inexperienced and narrow minded with their views and opinions... Thank you Pea! I learned a lot once again! 🙂❤️
Wonderful video Sweet Pea. I have a friend who is Waray and she does tampo fiercely and enjoys a good fight! Lovely ladies you spoke to and I know why I was drawn to you with your Waray heritage. Magnetic! 😊

I did not ever hear from any of my Filipina friends or coworkers about over 100 different tribes. Very interesting. Also, so much beauty on that tiny couch. AFAM is sitting here in Las Vegas.... 😙😚🥰
When I went on two Missons trips to the Philippines, I learned about the Waray language nd culture when I went to Samar and Leyte. It was so cool to hear it and even use it when we greeted people at their homes as our guide instructed us. It was fun and the people were so ice! I need to go back to those islands and eat some danggit..! Great Video and God Morning, Pea..!

Hi Pea. Awesome video and 4 beautiful Waray ladies. Your guests were a lot of fun to listen too and all very well spoken. It is good they know how to stand up for themselves and seems like they look out for each other. I am not sure how old these ladies are but they are very mature. I like Carla as she had the best smile. It is always fun to learn about new things here and maybe that is why they say It Is More Fun In The Philippines.
Four very beautiful ladies with a warrior spirit, who have learned to overcome natural disasters and have the strength to rebuild their lives whilst smiling. Wow ❤😊🎉
Hi Pea …another great video. Since moving to the Philippines I am always amazed at the variety of actual cultures/dialects within a small country. It’s actually part of the country’s beauty. There is always something new to discover, visit or just the differences in cultures. It’s like drive a few hours or take a short flight and it’s almost like visiting a different country. Thankfully almost all speak either Tagalog or English. Looking forward to more travels in the future and seeing the sites and people. Interesting interviews. Take care and keep the vids coming. 😊😊😊
@@timothypittman9681 Ok, they're women. But I did make a distinction with the positive sides. With that in mind, how many hard working, loyal (and not annoying af) western women do you know?
@@timothypittman9681😂 good point man. As Americans, tampo should be super easy to deal with. all we need to do is think back to our middle school relationships and how we made mistakes when our gf's gave silence treatment
The best way I have found to deal with Tampo is to address the situation directly but lightly, don't get angry or upset, let her know you wont accept no communication, let her know you will let her be for awhile, and keep telling jokes until she laughs. Getting her to smile or laugh usually breaks the Tampo in my experience. Remember the culture, you are expected to be the leader as a man, and stay calm. Being a leader does not mean being bossy, arrogant or demanding! Being calm, confident, and assured of yourself, along with a little humility and respect will do wonders!
Morning from Texas Pea! This reminds me of differences in regions here in the states, just like southern folks are “different” from the other regions, interesting stuff Pea!🥰

This is interesting. So just like in other countries there are tribal differences based on locations where a person is born and or raised.... didn't know this about the Philippines...thanks Pea. ❤❤❤😊😊😊
I am from the Fugawee tribe, a tribe of fierce warriors whose only problem is that they get lost in the jungle easy. You can hear them yelling in the jungle, " Where the Fugawee? Where the Fugawee?" Even more Alexandra please. She is the greatest thing since 3-ply.
@@TheFilipinaPea Why not take us on a visit to Waray communities in Leyte, most foreign guys dont go that out of the way and it would initiate a lot of interest; if you did series of videos there and included some Pinay in interviews across Leyte. Start in Ormoc then Tacloban and work south.
I’m a happily married man who loves his wife so I would never want any other woman, but as we say in the U.S. I’m not dead. For Filipinas that means I can still see and admire another woman’s beauty. I’ve seen many of these Pea interviews mostly with women 10 years or more younger than Pea. I have never once had the thought that Pea is old or hit the wall because she always looks just as beautiful. Pea is definitely a beautiful person inside and out. Another interesting video. Thanks Pea.
@@timothypittman9681 oh I wouldn’t dare be selfish my friend. She belongs to all of us and all of us belong to her. Also through her we are all apart of the same community therefore we are all family. We are all apart of the Filipina army.
Very cute interview pea! It’s clear this is your tribe by your lighthearted, comfort as you talk with them and the joy of family that is expressed This is definitely one of my favorites of yours showing a different side of you and of the Filipino
I would have to disagree with these sweet ladies that their eyes and smiles are any better or worse than other Filipinas. I have been to a few different islands and they all have that kinda beauty that can be described as different. The sounded mad and aggressive I can 100% agree with because that’s exactly how my wife sounds when she speaks but I’ll have to ask her if she’s from that same tribe. It’s really funny because she gets so frustrated because her mom who is in her 70’s can’t understand her because she talks so fast lol.
lol in all my 20 years going to the Philippines I have never seen a single Filipino family that owns a vacuum. I’ve only seen them in big nice fancy hotels.
i am Canadian and i do not really like them ether , mostly only use it for nasty liquid spills on concrete or so. they just make too much noise i rather spend the extra mins with the broom in silence.
@ ya but Filipinos also are very frugal. They refuse to spend money on anything they feel like they can do themselves. For example, I know more Filipinos who own cars than I know who own vacuums, washing machines, lawn mowers, ect ect. Americans will buy anything they think will save them time, money, and energy.
It sounds like a guy might need a kevlar vest around these young ladies. Joke lang. I do hope these young ladies do use their tampo on weekends. A guy can use a little peace while watching sports on TV.
I love this one as I am from USA black man and I am married to a lady from there and a lot of what you guys are saying I have dealt with first hand but I will say I love her and my time there was so great and the people are so nice and I was treated well wherever we visited
The under 1 minute gang unite. I would be surprised if all filipinas were the same because even everyone on my block isn't the same so an entire country being the same would be odd.
What a lovely bunch of beautiful Filipinas. Rose in the middle is so small... But looks fierce. Rich seems to have a great sense of humor. All 3 are amazing.
I really liked this video. I’ve learned something new. I know now you are a part of Warway Tribe. I just found your videos a month ago. I’m watching and learning. Thank you for doing this.
Yes, I have been with a beautiful Waray-Waray lady for 18 years in the Philippines and a couple of years online before I got here. Her inflection sounded like she would attack something. I never thought of anger but that works too. She has changed a lot. I bought her a simple sewing box for 300 pesos in the first few days, and she almost cried. Now, an entire computer doesn't affect her that way. :P She had not been treated well by Filipino men. I think that might have been part of it. Her family is not poor but certainly not wealthy. I'll never forget her reaction in SM when I bought her that sewing box. I had been here only three days or so. It was our first outing.
Hahaha, so true about Waray-waray sounding angry 😄Less than 4 weeks now until I'm back with my fiancée and son on Northern Samar so get to hear all the 'arguments' again soon 😁

Pea that was funny and very interesting. One of the things that I learned is to never to cross Rose. It could be your last mistake. Finally, your tribal outfit either real or computer generated was really cool!
Thank you, Miss Pea, for this segment. Because of my love of history and geography, I paused the video to do a brief search of Leyte and the Waray people. It peaked my curiosity. I definitely need to visit.
You and your panel were definitely very charming and beautiful women.

At least the pyramids keep you in shape! 😆😆
Fun and informative, Pea! A man with a true interest in your culture would pursue more of what is present in the Philippine's and not necessarily settle for all that good information which you and your guests share!

I've dated two Waray. Their work ethic and loyalty was impressive. The off-the-charts tampo and mood swings were the deal breakers.
Are u aware of the common factor in the equation? 🤔😘
@@timothypittman9681 Ok, they're women. But I did make a distinction with the positive sides. With that in mind, how many hard working, loyal (and not annoying af) western women do you know?
Wow, this is fascinating. Six years with one. Off the charts tampo!

Interesting and informative as usual Pea. Love those lovely ladies. 💕
lol in all my 20 years going to the Philippines I have never seen a single Filipino family that owns a vacuum. I’ve only seen them in big nice fancy hotels.
i am Canadian and i do not really like them ether , mostly only use it for nasty liquid spills on concrete or so. they just make too much noise i rather spend the extra mins with the broom in silence.
Yup, they’re only for ‘Rich Folks’ 😆😆😆
@ ya but Filipinos also are very frugal. They refuse to spend money on anything they feel like they can do themselves. For example, I know more Filipinos who own cars than I know who own vacuums, washing machines, lawn mowers, ect ect. Americans will buy anything they think will save them time, money, and energy.
@ ya I agree with u there but u can’t sweep carpet lol. Which is something else you don’t see in many Filipinos homes.
