This is a general Top 5 for every solo laner heading into S7 that should help those who need it heading into the season. The same applies to builds, certain item replacements here and there are fine and even welcomed -- solo lane is all about counter building and switching things up depending on the match! As a guy who plays Jorm solo in ranked, he always always always gets forgotten in the bans phase, no one bans him I’ve been bottom pick in a low to mid diamond game and still gotten Jorm so I thought I could help people who struggle into him:
1. When fighting a Jorm solo, never try and out pressure him, if you have CC you can cancel his roar but it won’t put it on cool down, stay well away from minions in the first few seconds of the first wave as he will likely go for a roar in wave and on top of you, better Jorms will hit you with a quick basic attack, group the minions and roar, avoid that too as that will do a lot of damage to all your creeps and you in the process, stand back and let him do his thing before clearing especially if you have ranged attacks.
2. Always try and get his ult from him, a Jorm solo can almost certainly survive a gank if his ult is up, try and force the ult and when you do let the jungler know, otherwise a gank only gives you pressure back temporarily while your jungler is there as he will just ult away and you won’t be seeing a death on the board by Jorm until late game team fights, to avoid that and try to kill him during laning phase just force his ult and gank with good coordination from the mid or jungler.
3. A simple one, everyone seems to forget Jorm passive exists, they only know that he can’t be moved but of course the big downside to this is his debuff he gets, always try and activate his debuff with cc then combo damage into it while he’s weak, don’t throw all your damage at him THEN cc him.
4. Lastly if you see the enemy pick Jorm in the picks and bans phase and they already have a support so you’re sure it’s a solo Jorm, do not pick a god who has short range, Osiris for example suffers when fighting into a Jorm solo as he has to get up close and within range of his roar and sit inside his pools to basic attack the snek, but other gods like Hou Yi or Freya are surprisingly dangerous for a Jorm even though they aren’t seen as good picks right now in solo (although hunter/mage solo seems to be getting increasingly popular), gods with high burst at range can with enough effort out pressure and out lane a Jorm through constant safe poke damage and sustain through pots.
Dunno if this helps anyone but that’s my experiences with Jorm solo so far and from what I’ve seen people forget how to deal with the big snek who can carry from solo.

I just have to say thank you man. I haven't been playing for too long, but your play by plays helped so much and I finally got my first diamond (Achilles!) mostly through solo. I don't follow build guides too much because I think there's too many variables that change how someone builds, but I'm definitely taking notes.
As long as I'm playing smite and you're creating content, I'll be watching your videos. Easily the best smite content creator in my opinion. The information and quality gameplay is 2nd to none and on top of that you seem very humble which you don't see a lot of unfortunately.

14:54 I find Masamune to be a great boots replacement especially with Onis in your build to just get more mitigation, and move speed while not losing any power.

Even having seen the video, I laned against one and got soloed about 7 times. The damage is just ridiculous. I was a Cama rushing Trans so that didn't help. Thought I was going into an easy pressure match up. Nope!
George Nixon I mean when horus has a protection cleave with golden blade procing on even minion and on you. Yea that does son damage. Especially if you went trans first due to him basically doing true damage

I know you like to play mid lane too. I think it would be really cool to have a solo laner's mid perspective video! Maybe giving ideas on when you want your solo to rotate or when mid should go help solo and things like that. Whatever content you put out I will continue to watch and enjoy.
I always grab the blue buff with cu chulainn at the beginning because early game you will out heal a lot of the warriors since the mana you get from blue buff and multi pot (assuming you’re stacking chalice and multi) will stack and turn to health. Including health chalice you will heal 462 health in the early game while the average warrior will only heal 375 health in the early game.
(Don’t know why I did but I actually did the math)
(Keep in mind he also has anti-heal in his kit)

Wrong, tested on ne zhe, guan yu, Ama, cama, horus, set, cupid, arachne, rat and thana.
It doesnt work with pele as her healing is from lifesteal although triggered by an ability.
If someone goes Jorm solo as an early pick just go Achilles if he’s open. You can stun his roar and walk away and just poke him with dash, almost impossible to miss an execute too. If there’s 1 tough match he has it’s definitely Achilles
As an Achilles main, I always go the t1 boots chalice start, then go right into void and runic shield. I can rotate by level 9-10 and be effective in any early team fight. Then I go blackthorn. I find that these first 3 items plus boots makes it so you can carry any fight up until around the 25 minute mark cuz you’ll be so tanks and have a LOT of power

Rather not have warriors blessing nerfed, without that it's incredibly hard to not be bursted down as a tank in Joust, what with having to take 3 sets of abilities and minion poke at base level. Warriors blessing makes the balance feel just right for frontlining.

Wouldn’t the healing and dps with Osiris be better with berskers and att speed boots? I have little conquest, so just wondering. I know they are no were even close to the same but in duel it’s seems a lot better with bersk and att speed boots but that could be just cause u are going more damage items and not full tank

I knew heartseeker and soul reaver would start being used in solo. Those items are broken in tanky bruisers. On chang’e I’ve been going CDR boots, breastplate/void stone, pythags, soul reaver for 30% pen and tons of power as a bruiser. I might try a version with lotus crown too.
If you chose a warrior to go against a magical solo, would you still rush glad shield like you're showing? Or do the warriors/chalice/4 multipot start into like a runic shield or something? Thanks for the video FO :)
Unless you're playing KA you should go boots into runic shield imo. Or you could rush Runic Shield if they have a magical JG

It's like waste of time his tanky while u squishy but he does nothing to u while u chunk him on CD
IKR, I don’t know how they’ll do it though. His axe already has a low cooldown with lots of early dmg, maybe increase late dmg? He really just needs more cc, but where? Maybe getting hit with both forms of dmg with the torrent while teleporting stuns you? Or maybe his ult has an inner radius that’s stuns anyone in it instead of silencing? They could rework some abilities, but I kinda like his kit as is.
The problem with Chaac is in other game modes he is an absolute bully, so people pick him there, do well and then try and solo with him in conquest only to find out a level 1 Chaac is massively different to a level 3 start Chaac, he exists to just stalemate and stall the lane in Conquest, so I really agree, the Chaacman needs a buff, it’s a dark day indeed when the god of thunder and storms is getting out laned by a damn Vulcan solo.

i love playing camazotz but i tend to not play his as often in solo cause i always seem to have to battle with people over my passive. I feel like if its not online it makes the battle so much harder without that sustain. Ive even had matches where i asked junglers to stop dropping my blue for my passive and them telling me to stfu. I try to be nice and explain it in case people dont know how his passive stacks work but sometimes it feels like people just dont care and want that high kda and farm.
Jormungandr I always played as a mage for how aggressive you could play him. Shreds people then chase with ultimate if they try to run away lol

Yes ik he has a root but it’s only like what , 1 sec long and kinda is not super reliable cuz it’s not only your ult (longer cd) but also u mostly use it to chase or get closer to someone rather than intentionally root the guy

No Set or Thor or similar things? I realise they have dropped a bit but surely because their mid game impact is so strong they're pretty good.
As well as camps being harder to kill it makes it harder to invade and therefore snowball of back camps?

Can someone guarantuee that Caduceus shield increases the healing of the owner of that item too? I understand this item to increase the healing from TEAMMATES around you(like rod). And increasing the healing you receive to 15% from someone else(like aphrodite). Am i wrong???
Does caduseus shield also work on bellona beacause she has got healing on her 3 but that's only if you auto
I played gold LVL ranked with 350 ping in NA and went 8 and 2 with Jorm last season and one of those losses was completely my fault with poor building and relic choice. My build had a gem of iso and frenzy in it though.
This season do you think the frenzy ult is still a decent idea? Also do you think Gem is a decent item? Bare in mind, I probably won't get out of gold so it's pretty low LVL play and, even with better ping in my new house, I'm still close to 300 ping so I often miss my 2 if opponents aren't slowed a bit.
Glad to see that there's 2 lag friendly gods (Achilles and Jorm) if I decide to play ranked this season. I also wonder how good Zhong might be this season with that crazy minion item that came out recently. I only got to play my first s7 game yesterday since moving house and breaking my computer.

Honestly idk if its just me but my main warrior is Hercules and i do very well against jorm, yeah he out clears me the first few levels but even with that its very easy for me to really pressure on him bc i have 2 ability’s that easily activate his passive, and every chance i get when i stun him with the 1 since it activates his passive i always double tap him with my ult and thats like 4-600 damage that he cant avoid and i hit the wave as well, which helps with my clear and i just keep poking him since herc already is a hard hitting warrior too his autos even tho they’re slow they’re heavy hitting. But yeah still a very hard match up for me facing a jorm.
I have been using Cerberus against does healers and is quite good of you know how to counter them

Whats the item to rush if you're playing against a magical damage god? Im guessing runic if youre a physical, but what about magic v magic? And would you still go berserkers first against a mage?

Getting bodied by an Arthur is pretty universal: You're boxing him for too long. His passive revolves around spamming abilities, and coupled with glad shield, he will out trade MOST gods in a boxing match with a few exceptions.
Cu actually has a very vital tool against an Arthur: his base form 1 because of the antiheal in it. When Arthur approaches you, hit him with the 1, auto him until he spins, and try to hit him with your ult the moment his spin ends to get the knockup. Leap over his next ability, and you can pressure him away since he will only have weaker abilities up.
If an Arthur is ever predictable with his ults, you can actually leap those too and really screw his combos up, but most good ones will hit confirm it out of knockup or cripple to avoid that.
Long story short, play the long, sustain game with him and don't look for early fights unless you're ahead, and definitely consider a form of antiheal when fighting him if you're looking to out trade him.
A kill against an Arthur is more impactful than most other gods because he has no ult meter from spawn, meaning he will be forced to fight you without it.
Try to get your jungle to gank him early before he gets glad, and you'll have a much, much easier time against him.

Thx for the guide but ım kinda surprised why you never considered Pridwen as a solo lane item. I mean ı felt realy comfortable when ı buy Caduceus Shield + Pridwen + Urchin side by side. with this defense combo ı have power, cool down, health, mana and bunch of protections.
It gives you great sustain and burst damage too via passive. Why not Pridwen ? We only saw on Cu Chu

Is jade emperors really that good? I always only kinda considered the item as an aura to protect teammates from getting dived by assassins or warriors but as a first defense item? With 60 prots and 20 power reduction is that better or worse than just having higher prots because I thought maybe there was items that had higher prots while still giving health.
Not including jorm and cama, do you get antiheal on others? Like would it be good to replace runic shield with pestilence if they got a healer? Or should I rely on jungler and mid to get antiheal?

Phew, Bellona, make sure you build attack speed for sure. Once you get her attacking so fast, her animation seems broken 😂. But you also heal like crazy with her.
I haven't used her in season 7 but in season 6 she was amazing.
Guan Yu is a love and hate relationship,
My friends call him the "outcast".
You should never pick Guan Yu for any game mode ever.
But with that being said, if built right, you could do a ton of damage and live forever 😂. I remember I was being 1v3'd by the enemies Titan. I back pedaled back to my tier 1 tower, got 2 kills, then chased the 3rd enemy back down the lane.
Bellona is definitely better than Guan Yu, but honestly, do whichever one you enjoy more.
If you're comfortable with your god, you'll do better than the average player and can make things happen that you never imagined.
