I love the 19 so much that, like you, I have two small in different colors ( black and 22p baby pink).I’m short so I never really wear it on my shoulder, I love using the top handle or cross body. I prefer my CF as a shoulder bag obviously. I’m from Canada by the way but I live in California now. It’s so much easier to keep our bags in perfect shape. No snow, not much rain and no big coats, it helps tremendously.
Oh lucky you! Soaking up the sun in California! Anytime I visit vegas or cali I’m so excited to dress up because I don’t worry about my stuff getting ruined lol!

Glad that Chanel 19 is working out for you. Had Denim 19 and had to sell it because of the strap. All the cons you mentioned and my hair was being pulled in chunks every time.
I heard the same from some people. A friend of mine finds the strap too heavy. I haven’t had my hair tugged by it though.
Hi, I am thinking about Chanel 19 , but I’m concerned about the strap, cause I like wear it on my shoulder rather than crossbody. How long is the strap?
I would love to know if they were able to fix the Edgeware because I was told going forward whether it's lamb or goat chanel 19 they will not repair any of the leather on these bags anymore so I'd love to know if they did that for you last year because this year they said they stopped as of the year 23 I believe
Hi, so Chanel can do edge touch ups, depending on the degree of rubbing. I understand they no longer do this. There are touch up pens you can use that work quite well from Luxe de jour!

Hi Lena, it can be heavy because of the chains. I tolerate it, but I know some are not able to bear it.

Love the detail! I have the large in tweed and love love love it. But this is a great size. Lambkin is where it’s at with Chanel but I mostly have caviar or crinkle calf skin and I have to say, I’ve never had issues.

I loved my Chanel 19 in white, however the color transfer. Sigh! I just purchased the 19 in black with the reverse hardware. I really like the relax style of the 19.
Oh so nice with the reverse hardware! I was tempted by that version! Yes, the white I only wear with light outfits.
@@therealshakeen be careful of the seat you sit also. I was sitting on a red chair and since I had my bag sandwiched between me and the armrest, I got color transfer from the chair. 😫. Who would have thought!!

Great review as always! I had the chance at a goatskin 19 back when they first came out and I passed for a different piece. I don't regret what I bought, but I wish I'd gotten the 19 too! (for the goatskin as well as the price 😂)
Both you and theluxonomy have rec'd mbouqitue now, so I'm going to give them a try I think! I'm looking for one for my WOC.
Ah, yes the 19 was cheaper then as well. Goatskin was also a bit cheaper than lambskin as far as I remember. I think it's always possible to find one on the preloved market. I was surprised that the price on the 19 didn't skyrocket as aggressively as the classic flap. You must try the base shaper for your woc. It's a game changer!
I love my large black 19. It is a great everyday bag. Incidentally, I seem to store it away when it starts to warm up outside. So getting a white version in size small would be a great solution for me! Thanks so much for your video!
I bet the large is a dream to use! So much space! Isn’t it funny how we gravitate towards lighter coloured and smaller bags in the summer?
Love the 19. why do you think they discontinued goat for the 19?
I honestly don’t know, but I think it’s something Chanel will always do with any new release. They’ll introduce a new style in a so called “durable leather”, get everyone to love it, and then make it all in lambskin after. I don’t mind since I love lamb. Remember the top handle mini? First in caviar for one season, now it’s all lamb. 22? First calfskin and now they’ll most likely be lamb.
I love the Chanel 19 so much especially in the small size! I really want that to be the next bad I add to my collection! When you tuck in the shoulder strap to carry it as a top handle, does it take up a lot of room?
Hi Drea, the strap is quite bulky to tuck in. I actually just leave it hanging when carrying it top handle.
have you had any issues with color transfer for the white 19? And how has the bag held up now that it's been more than a year since this video? Thanks!
Hi JTm I haven't had any issues with colour transfer - however that it mainly because I often wear this with light colours in the spring summer. If I was to wear with dark colours, I would hold it top handle only. The bag has held up wonderfully! I highly recommend!
I’m thinking of getting this bag in the champagne color but I’m afraid color transfer from my clothes . Do you have any suggestions for keeping it look good. Thank you.
My only tried and true advice is to wear with light colours or hold it top handle if you are wearing dark colours. Some people swear by some sprays, but I myself have never tried it.
So would you recommend the white bag? I have the black one already but I’ve been debating on whether I should get the white one as well. Thank you!

Hi~ after using my white 19, I’m really wanting to shorten the strap. I’ve seen a blogger take off the leather panel on the strap to shorten.. my husbands against my doing that too.. any other suggestion? 😬
Oh wow, I had no idea you could do that but anything is possible. If doing this means you'll use the bag more, than perhaps it's worth it.

Do you use the zoomoni bag organizers for your classic flaps, too?
Hi Amy, I actually don't use any organizers or base shapers for my classic flaps since I find they are quite structured. However, I have contemplated getting a thin one made to protect the lining (for light bags especially). I did get one bag organizer and base shaper for my large reissue flap.
Can i ask if the chain on your Goatskin squeaks? Mine does and driving me crazy. Thinking to sell it bc of this xoxo
I think squeaking is inevitable with a leather intertwined strap. I think mine does, but I’m immune to it 😂
Would you suggest a 19 or coco handle? I have two classic flaps!
I’d say go for a 19. The classic flap grants you a formal structured option. It’s nice to have a bag, such as the 19, that gives you a comfortable and casual use.
What did chanel say about fixing
They said they can do edge painting. Which is similar to touch up pens you can get. Other than that, it is just wear and tear.
Do u have corner wear on the black lambskin
There is some colour fading which is very subtle.
