I find it ironic that most zoner mains who say GLHF are generally the most toxic / but hurt if you're someone who has mastered punishing / baiting them.
That Snake would've probably won if he kept abusing the nikita edgeguard on last stock, but he tried so hard to style with the Fair spike that it cost him the game.
1:15 when he's at the ledge at a mid percentage like this, my favorite thing to do after a down throw or even a late hit dash-attack is a reverse aerial rush back-air, which kills extremely early. It is hard to hit because the percentage window to make it true is extremely tight, and to use Ganondorf's back-air well requires great precision, but usually they don't expect it at mid - high percentages, and it is one of my favorite ways to steal back momentum
My 2nd and 3rd most played characters are Snake and Ganon, so I love this MU on both sides. I think this MU is far from Ganon’s worst; Snake isn’t super mobile, which give Ganon’s burst options a lot of power. He also relies on shield a lot which Ganon’s 2 command grabs can do a lot of work against. Super volatile and fun imo.
One thing I thought I’d mention, Cypher has a good bit of lag (47 frames) before Snake can act out of it. That means you can Dark Dive the Cypher for free if you are close enough and he can’t air dodge. There were a couple opportunities to KO him this game in that manner, and it’s one of my favorite things to do against Snake.
I play melee, but i saw this video and thought about a certain player called “ultimate player” on slippi netplay, and i’ll beat his captain but not his ganon. Damn ultimate players with their reads and common sense
@@Ctacobellhe grabbed and used tilts, smash attacks, and aerials the whole game which renders your point about grabs and ‘a-moves’ invalid; the special moves really only stand out because he used them to apply pressure (with varying results). Furthermore, your point about me not watching a lot of competitive smash is also incorrect; I’m literally a smash streamer bruh.
