Wow Carrie! This cardigan is gorgeous, love the color. It is the very first time that I see this kind of stitch, something different and I want to try it. I love autumn too, it is my favorite season of all, I like it more than Christmas season.
Ah thank you so much. When I discovered this stitch I immediately fell in love with it. I've so many ideas for autumn that I can't wait to share!
@@HeyCarrieCrochet Yay!! And now I can't wait either....
I’ve been crocheting for years and I devour TH-cam crochet videos but I can’t recall seeing this stitch before now. I’m actually needing to go to sleep rn but I have to get started on this cardigan. I’ll hate myself in the morning 😂. Thanks for the beautiful pattern❤
What an interesting way to construct a sweater!! It’s wonderful and soooo pretty. Again. Thankyou
Thank you so much. I love this construction as it means a lot less seaming at the end!!
Congratulations on designing a fabulous cardigan that resembles knitting. ❤
Carrie you never disappoint, this cardigan is beautiful and such a lovely color....
This is a GORGEOUS cardigan 😍. Thank you so much for sharing this 🤗
i've been crocheting for about 18 years but have only done blankets, hats, plushies, scarves, and this convinced me to finally try a cardigan. off to the yarn store i go!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you, Carrie for another wonderful cardigan.
Very interesting. I've never seen this stitch before. I can't do knit brioche for anything, but this is totally doable. Thank you for another beautiful garment. And thank you for your generosity in making the pattern available for everyone. Take very best care.
What an awesome stitch and clever construction!
Hi Carrie really love this cardigan and am in the process of making it the brioche stitch is so lovely and easier than I thought. Your patterns are great and your tutorials are really well explained. Thanks so much for all your hard work in making this crochet all possible for me to do and enjoy 😊❤
I used this Stitch on the back loop ...and it 's even more like the brioche stitch😊
This is so beautiful thank you for sharing!!!
How nice! Such a simple but beautiful stitch. You've done a fantastic job of explaining this sweater. I've got to make myself one. This is my go-to channel when I'm wanting to make a sweater. I've made several so far and look forward to making another. 💛
Love this cardigan. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pattern😊
Thank you for this very easy Brioche pattern. I'm about 1/2 the way finished with the cardigan. Love you tutorials, and thank you again for your wonderful patterns.

I love your patterns , they are easy to follow❤
Love your design. Definitely going to add this cardigan to my list. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from FL😺
This is so wonderful ❤ I've tried the knit brioche and it's frustrating. But this beauty, I can do!!!!😊 Thanks so much carrie
Yep the knit brioche stitch is a head scratcher! But this crochet version is super easy. Once you get the first row done you will be flying it! Have a great week!
Gorgeous stitch! Thank you!!
so fascinating! thank you, carrie!!🧡
Love the way it looks! Thank you
te extrañaba....mucho!
thank you Carrie as always!!
Perfect: easy , pretty and well explained
A gorgeous colour
it's really such an interesting and nice looking stitch
I'm just new to crochet. I'm amazed how mine turned out to look exactly the same as in the model except that the base of single crochet tends to curl, not sure why. Anyway, a big thank you to Carrie for sharing your ideas.
I am going to start mine with a HDC foundation chain. The foundation chain prevents that curling.
I’m excited to make this. It’s beautiful!
Thank you xx
Also I like the armhole construction! It eliminates some seaming which is genius!
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing.
This is beautiful. Please also make tutorials for men sweaters and cardigans
Love this!
Thank you so much xx
gorgeous
Thank you xx
So beautiful switer digen 💖💖💖💖💖
I’m very confused by this pattern. Something doesn’t seem right. If you fold the front to back to seam at shoulders they are too big for the back. Are you supposed to restart count of rows after the opening for arms? I’m making size L. Pattern says start back after 29 rows and start second arm opening after 69? The back is too small. Hopefully you can understand what I’m saying. Please help. I guess what I’m asking is how many rows should the back part be??
I’m at the same spot as you I see what you mean. I think we’re supposed to do 69 rows on the back only. I’m going to see what it looks like. Let me know what you think?
Yes I agree. It just threw me off. ❤. The way you said it is what it means. Then add another 29 of whatever for the other front.
I’m just starting the second front side.🤞🏻it will come out okay.
So glad i´m not allone here with the same issue... when I finished the last row of the back panel it only was a few rows wider than the Front panel...
Came here and took screen shot of the cardigan folded open in full view so I could count rows in her cardigan and indeed looks like you have to restart counting rows for the back panel...
But does not explain why by the end she said there should only be 81 rows in total 🤔
@@PeeweeKimYes I did the exact same thing coming to the comments to see if anyone else is having this problem.
I knew it didn’t look right.
I was wondering if this cardi could be made with just HDCBLO instead of the brioche?
I want to make this for my 2 year old but not sure how many chains to start with 😅
Plz anyone answer me why this sweater shoulder is so big girls shoulder size maximum 16 enough
I absolutely love this stitch and am currently making a cardigan for my Mum. Sorry if I missed this but could you tell me if you consider row 1 as the right side? Thank you.
Thank you for the update. I have 68 rows on the back for the larger but your update says 70. Do you think that would made a difference? I’m on the sleeves now. Not sure to take the side off to add 2 more rows.
Hello. So this is my first time making a cardigan. Do you block the pieces first before you seem them?
If I use the same size hook but thin mohair yarn will the cardigan size be the same?
Wonderful cardigan! Thank you so much for sharing your work. Carrie, question: what kind or brand of crochet hook you use?
Can I use any kind of worsted weight yarn
Very lovely. Is this pattern available for purchase? Plz n thanks
Davvero utile questo tutorial! Bello questo punto. Si può utilizzare per un cardigan da uomo? Scrivo dall'Italia 😊😊
I’m about half way across the back panel - it’s so heavy already! I’m using acrylic yarn. I wonder how wool or cotton would feel.
To update: I found a great wool yarn and started over. It’s beautiful!
It looks like your going thru to front loop stitch and and not both…am I wrong??
You are correct. It took me a while to figure it out, but that is the way to do it. One loop only and it all fell into place.
Which method of seaming do you use? I have found four methods on TH-cam.
Muchas gracias por compartir los vídeos, me encanta como teje. Pero me gustaría que pasé en español gracias
How do you know how long to make the collar?
❤
How much yarn did you use to make the Cardigan
❤😊
im so bummed i can't seem to do the brioche stitch
Just go back to it another day. Ive been crocheting almost 50 years, and I’ve had stitches I’ve had to try 6 times before i got it right! Sometimes I write the directions down (abbreviated) to refer to as I do each row. Maybe that will help. Dont give up. Its a learning process😊
I am thinking of just doing the sweater pattern with a HDC BLO because I am having a little difficulty, too
I pulled an all nighter trying to figure it out. Use only the front (or back) loop when you to to the "next stitch". If you use one ONE of the loops, it works out much better!
