Excellent video. I can attest as a fella who thinks he knows things, but really doesn't know squat.....that while this process may seem simple though tedious and long, it absolutely requires a level of skill which I don't think I shall ever be able to attain. I'm so talentless at this I can't even be embarrassed anymore by the level of my suckitudinalness. I have all the right tools, all the high quality sanding equipment, and yet there's not an instance where I won't destroy a clear coat. So, when you're watching fellas like this who know what they're doing, keep in mind there is NOTHING simple about what these experts are doing. What's really going on in this video is some hoo doo, voo doo, devil magic.
Beautiful work! Thanks for going into detail on your process. How many hours go into the Body and Paint on these cars? What is a Ball Park on cost? Looks like a lot of labor goes into the details. Turned out sweet!
Nothing better than CSI CERAM-X! Well, besides the new XX! Looks great. You made me nervous starting at 800 grit but I'm sure that was cleared twice! Great work guys!
we start a 600.... and clear only once... multiple coats in one session... you must understand to get the clear to match the body work, you are now using the acrylic blocks to shape the clear to match the bodywork...
the " cottage chesse " also known as ureathane wave.. only can get cut out with 800 or i start at 600.... guide coat each grit change is the best thing you could suggest to ensure you get all the sand scratches from your last grit.....

Would you recommend this process for a factory paint job? My Ram pickup has bad wavy peel in the entire finish. I was thinking about starting with a finer grit sandpaper than 800 (maybe 1500?) because I assume the factory clear is relatively thin. Opinion?
You should add how long it takes for this process per panel just so the general public understands why a custom paint job requires such a fat wallet the amount of time it takes to achieve this level of perfection is mind boggling
I appreciate this video but after cut n buff my black car, never again. I had created an onyx black mirror and you could see every imperfection. I had to sell the car.
Was für eine Bullshit Übersetzung Wenn ich meinen Auszubildenen sage sie sollen den Hüttenkäse und Orangenschalen schleifen, möchte ich ihre augen sehen 😊
That represents tons of work and experience. Beautiful work.
Nothing beats a shinny paint job. Looking great guys. See you at GNRS
Shinny, eh? 😂

800 grit too coarse? If it's too fine, the first grit won't cut the paint level and flat, will it?

White guide coat is new to me wow😊

So did you just use the CSI for the whole machine buffing and polishing process?
Thank you. Good video.

We’ve started with 500 grit dry. I know that sound aggressive. But it goes faster. You just have to be very careful
What was the brand and name of the clear used on the El Camino?
Awesome! Is the step 3 product the same as the step 2, or is it a different polish.

wow like a babies a$$ congrats !!!!!!!!
Do You should ware face mask for this type of work?
8000 after 3000 you just have to polish with 3m all in 1 and purple pad

A lot of details are left out here. Everything that happens when your done with the 3000 Trizact. A lot of stuff.
good clear choice for black on a baby you dont want yellowing in a decade or two ??
Can’t wait to see it in person
Wow1
You missed the 1200 grit 😂
