250cc Hammerhead Go Kart in real need of repair

- Came to me dead battery non-running and broken throttle. After doing some basic work to get it running I record what really was needed to make this thing a reliable off-road cruiser once again. All parts were acquired from Amazon and if you need links just ask.
I bought one a couple years ago. Just needed some good tune up. My kids love it !!
I had one of these about 10 years ago and I literally had ALL of these same issues.
Run larger wire to ignition switch from battery. Then back to starter relay.

If it won’t start check the cables if it’s all good get the key barrel out the dash hold the barrel and turn the key it happened with me
I hate the cv carb. I put a mikuni on mine. More low end grunt. And better acceleration throughout top speed ✌🖖
Where did you buy the mikuni for the hammerhead?
@@firzout Amazon. It was like 70-90bucks but worth it. Big difference over stock cv carb.
Do you have the link of the minuki carb you bought ?
When I had this go kart I put tubes in the tires because they kept going flat.
Where can I buy parts for this ! Mine is leaking oil not sure from but I’m thinking of just replacing all the gaskets

Hi. I picked one of these up just recently. Can you share the link where you purchased the Carb please? I think that is all I need to replace. Also do you know what year yours is from? I'm thinking of purchasing a wiring harness so its new all the way around. Thanks!

Early this year after the last trip out, it started leaking oil on the upper top end. Any ideas what could be the issue? Can you help me asses the issue please ..
Without seeing it I would just have to guess you either have a crankcase ventilation issue or a gasket issue at the base of the cylinder.
I have a 250cc also. Has spark cleaned carb new battery and it still wont start
All you need for any engine to run are vaporized fuel, Spark at the correct time, and compression. I would try putting some fuel right in the carb and see if it will run at all. If so something still wrong with the carburetor.
I really wish you the best but I’m new to building engines and really wish you would go back through the carb because that’s where my hammerhead has problems

Scrap the cv carb. Look at a pz27 or a mikuni carb. Pz27 is a china carb but it works well. I prefer mikuni. More low end grunt and top sp. Pz27 about 20bucks on Amazon. Mikuni about 100. Good luck✌✌🖖🖖🖖

Whats that hose on top going to? Of the engine? Our hammerhead 250cc doesn't have it and its spitting oil out not a lot but enough to concern me
If you mean the shiny black hose I am pretty sure it is like a PCV system. I could see why you would get some oil without the hose attached.
