The phoenix self shooting issue seems to be an engine bug rather than unit, it's on the list to be looked into when possible The unit is intentionally set up to act like a bomber, rather than a gunship, it would be too powerful if it were able to free fire. It being impossible to overmicro is part of the balance considerations. Bastions did originally track, but there's another engine bug that prevents that working properly, without it friendly firing your own units/base in the process. This is the middle ground until that's fixed. Flying Fortress was a preexisting T2 air unit, I didn't make or name it, but it could do with a rename and possibly DPS ramp.
I've said before that map balance isn't just about resources: you can balance matches by giving different features to different teams, or even clustering resources for one team and dispersing them for the other, as well as making matches where one has more resources but fewer players
Love it!! I wondered if they'd make a metal map at some point.. Very nice to see.. Now if they'd just recreate those post apocalyptic cities that i remember from TA..
I'm thinking BAR could benefit from a King of the Hill game mode. Have a section of the map with a timer that counts down based on the number of commanders in that location. On this map it'd be where BAR is written right in the middle.
Is going for t2 metal extractors really worth it in this map? It's a lot cheaper and faster to just build 4 t1 metal extractors. Takes a bit more space but it's going to be a while before you run out on that map.
great video as always, any suggestions for computers to be able to play large battles at a decent frame rate, notice all top players running 60 fps or higher all the way to late game? specs on website don't seem to cut it for games of raptors or 25 v25...
Well if I'm honest I'm not sure what the ideal machine would be. In general I'd say you want a healthy amount of RAM and a super beefy CPU. Those tend to be the biggest demands BAR has on my system anyways!

11:03 those phoenixes are rad!! (Sound effect is even better 😅)
More like a Full Metal Jacket movie reference.
But seriously, the attention to detail and realism put into this map is incredible!😂
The fight for a literal 2d square, could we at least make the map look like a cube you're fighting on top of?
It's hilarious that it's literally 2D but I agree, maybe not the most beautiful of worlds to conquer
The most balanced map of all time.
If one side of a mirror map has an extra rock, heaven forbid...
@@SSGLGamesVlogs fr, same thing with most maps, I hate that it’s just supreme and glitters every lobby

There were full metal worlds back in TA.
some of my fave to play on, Metal heck I think it was called. Loved that map

LDM being a living meme with those transports, lol
This was cool, never see a lot of the units before. Can't wait for legion to get finished!
That looks so cool. Epic battle . The problem on this map was that not many of them used spy planes thats why they been so blind .
Awesome match. I love TX55 with the ever growing line of exploiters. And the Praetorian might be my new favorite unit, so cool!
Love watching Lostdeadman

That's a good point!
Maybe late to the party but what version are those new units in? My BAR remains updated but I don't have either the map nor the units
This had a whole bunch of stuff enabled but all of it can be found under the advanced settings tab in case you'd like to try them out as well

BAR is very demanding for CPU. I suggest AMD 3D V-Cache because BAR suffer a lot from cache miss. 16 GB RAM is enough.
Those t3 legion are strongher than titan?
Thanks for the vid
More Brightworks :D
I played a game the other game with no metal extractors on the map. I guess, this is the exact opposite.
wow
You better wait till I can join stream to play this
With matched sides this map could last the game 40+ hrs.
Flat Earth confirmed.
Boring map, but still a fun game with all those units and the mess going on.
