This has been the best resource for learning how to do things the right way-straight to the point, with real-life scenarios, no unnecessary talk. As a young, aspiring DP, I’ve learned more from this page in the past few months than anywhere else. Thanks for sharing such valuable insights-and by the way, I’ve got your LUTs!
Thanks so much! We really appreciate your support, both with your time and how you support us in the backend. Everything keeps the channel growing and building, so we appreciate you!
It's a tricky place to pitch. Typically if we're pitching for production, it's in the director's rate more or less. Pre-viz can always be tricky. Often times you're just doing that on your own in your own space. If you are lucky enough to have time and budget to do it in the location that's great. But you can pre-viz practically anywhere.
Slider Stands/ Baby Combo Stands hold the pipes together for the dolly. Not sure if this is what you were referring to but I don't see a tripod at this timestamp.

So true about production design being KEY. I’m curious, how do you pitch including previs into your budget? Do clients ever scoff at that?

How are you able to still walk away with a livable wage having to split the money with so many crew members?
@@WHITEDIRTProductions it takes time, but increasing crew usually happens when budgets expand as well. It's finding a balance for everything.
