As a Scot, this makes me smile. I have a feeling when the world opens up again there will be no room to move for the amount of tourist that will come to Scotland after watching this series.
For those who don't know Sam and Graham also wrote a book together about this adventure, it's called Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other.
@@tk_wanderlust the book is based on the adventure which was televised for Starz. I'm not sure when exactly they wrote it but my guess is after their trip was done, they probably kept notes or a journal of what happened and then used it to write the book after.
I can't wait to see these two having the time of their lives, to learn the heritage of Scotland. My daughter's grandmother live in Scotland, hoping my grandson's will about able this beautiful land. Plus seeing their great-gran-mother too.

I think exactly the same...it is up to each country to accept only a maximum number of tourists each year, so that the well being of the inhabitants and the conservation of nature can be assured, we hope for the best.
@@a.g.5082 I can't agree more, I live in a part of France, which attract many many tourists, because of the wine, the sun, the beach, the surf, historical sites that can go back to Roman times, including medieval times... so yes between june (even may) to septembre... It's crazy here !!! hard to find a balance between not enough for the economy and too much for the nature and the people 💙🤍💙🤍

I don't think so , I spent 3 weeks in the Highlands when I was 14 , (is was a looong time ago) , I fell in love with the scenery, the hagggis, Highland games, the warmth that scottich people have in their heart... @@CindymeCindy I visited this area almost every day on bike, since my dad had a real problem translating miles in kilometers, i can tell you that haggis and mashed potatoes, or big plate of salmon...; and cakes... were real comfort food for me after 40 miles on my bike instead of 40 kilometers (that nearly double the distance)... But on the bright side, that gave my the opportunity to let my soul wander through this amazing scenery... some day I wonder if I didn't leave a tiny piece of my soul there. 🤍💙🤍💙
I'm a huge fan of Outlander. Men in Kilts has two of my favorite actors from the show. They are hillarious and I just found out that I'm 20% Scottish so I love seeing Scotland. I really want to go there now!

10 years ago when I was 17. I saw a man wearing a skirt in Canadian subway. Me and my friend laughed at him and we thought it was so ridiculous. Later I found out that a kilt in Scottish culture and i felt so bad. Sorry for my ignorance. After watching outlander, i think the warrior outfit with the skirt look very powerful, especially the actor Graham, i’d never seen a man look that manly in a skirt before lol
Most of them in the 1700 & 1800's ended up in the mountains of the southern US, as did Jamie and Claire in the story. They're all Scottish or Irish through there, though it quickly became impossible to tell them apart.

Listened to it on audiobook. It was great, very very funny! They read it themselves and do a fantastic job, I highly recommend it

I know Graham McTavish from Creed and as the voice of Lazaravic in Uncharted 2 and Charlie Cutter in Uncharted 3.
Guess this is why so many Scots settled in the Pacific Northwest. Our topography is very similar. Especially Washington state.
