As far as I remember Halo VFX were done in Mr X which was sister company of MPC and now merged in to it. May be because of the different pipeline and Creatives the quality looks below par.
MPC making a last reel before the Wave of AI in VFX will swoop them. Most of the shots while yes looking advanced and complex (thanks to underpaid artist for free overtime), have weird feel, almost as rendered in unreal engine.

If it wasn't for MPC, some of these films / shows are not worth watching. One example being Halo.

VFX work is contractual, you go to where the work is. Always been like that.
"1080p"... pliz get this stuff min 2k or more...
if it will be in 2k you will see aliasing and low res voxels in sims, they clearly don't want you to see that, (haha, joke).
