Rideau Canal Skateway set to have latest opening date on record

The Rideau Canal Skateway remains closed on day one of Ottawa's Winterlude festival, putting the world's largest naturally frozen skating rink on track to have its latest opening date on record. Ottawa has had a mild, snowy winter up until this week, which has resulted in poor ice-making conditions.
