The Civil Rights Act at 60: From Segregation Toward Inclusion at School and Work

- Join us on a livestream from the National Archives Museum's William G. McGowan Theater on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:30 am as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Co-hosted by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, and the U.S National Archives, this event will commemorate the historic legislation that paved the way for equality in American schools and workplaces.
Speakers will address the conditions that gave rise to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, how the Act helped change and continues to change those conditions, the importance of the Act and its goal of full inclusion and equal opportunity, and the work still needed to fulfill its promise.
