Re punctuation - Remember when Tim Winton wrote Cloudstreet and everyone loved it yet it didn’t have quotation marks! Well, I’m a huge grammar nerd and I didn’t even notice it didn’t have quotations!!! A good story sells itself I think! Love for you to discuss this further ❤

Love listening to you two chat - it’s like drinking a deep red mixed with a summer bubbly! Sophie, I love 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧! But if you need Summertime in it - then Love lessons at the Summertime salon! Sounds like you! 🥰
About the literary fiction - I always remember my Mum, who was a great reader, saying, “Oh, I can’t be bothered reading all those erudite books, so don’t get them!!!” when I had to go to the library to get her three regular books a week to read!! She loved to read romance and crime and not literary ones! Haha (said she, a post grad career woman to me, an academic!!). I did agree with her though! However.. I loved Richard Flanagan’s Booker prize winner - The Narrow Road to the Deep North! So good and very readable!! Not sure about his others .. haven’t read them! And.. I loved Charlotte Wood’s Stella winning Natural Way of Things!!
