@thevagabondcircus These organs were built to be hand-turned long before electric motors were available but most have both methods of operation now as this one does, thanks for the info on the orchestrion.
@deskyles Thank you so much,Darlene,so glad you liked it,my friend,it's hard work turning the wheel but i'm getting used to it now,it's good exercise, lol! Thanks for the stars and the thumbs-up,i really appreciate it!
@Neveszy Thanks,Rachel, the organ was built in the 1920's but has been much altered over the years as most of these instruments have, yes,it is fun to turn the wheel but hard work too!,you will have to come along way to see it though as i live in England!,that is where the organ is now,we have very many over here,no doubt if you look hard enough you can find one over there, there are a lot of them!,so glad you liked the video and you will always have my support!
@LanangYogya Thank you,Andhika,i'm so glad you like it,my friend!,Karen has been a special friend for a long time and i was happy to dedicate it to her!
@KarenEng So glad you liked it,Karen,it's not as hard as it looks but it can get tiring after several books! We get people to have a go,your welcome anytime! Hope you liked the dedication,i picked the tune especially for you! Yes,this is the ultimate upper-body workout, lol!
@MissPeacebabe10 Hi Sandi, glad you liked it so much! No i didn't build it,i'm not that clever, lol!,it was built in Belgium by Joseph Bursens in the 1920's and is typical of the organs used on the streets of Holland to this day. The merry go round organs are very similar and work on the same system.
This organ came about 90 years ago in Holland as one of the most beautiful Bursens organs. It was owned bij the famous Henk Möhlman in Amsterdam for many years. As I can see, it looks like the organ has to be turned very fast but not extremely heavy. I wish you good luck with this organ, I hope to see and hear it once a time.

@rotwiler50 Thank you, yes, the cardboard books can be repaired if they get damaged or when they get badly worn can be recut onto new card, there are many people still arranging music and cutting the books so it is no problem!
@jd450lh Hi Jeff, yes it certainly keeps you fit, lol! I picked this song specially for Karen as i love her cover of it and knew she would like it and i know you requested it too so i'll dedicate it to you too,my friend,i too always think of Karen when i play this, there are certain songs that always do that now! God Bless, Peter.
@mechanicsnut Thank you!,there are bigger organs that still are played this way especially in Holland,it is hard work but great fun!,the organ has been overhauled in recent years but a lot of it is still original. There are several places that you can still get the blank card both in England and Holland,if you need more details send me a p.m. and i will gladly let you know, good luck with the organ you are building!
@5breem You know a lot about this organ and you completely right with what you said about it,it has been rebuilt many times over the years and has lost the original Carillon and Harmonic Flute pipes and also the Baritones but maybe one day they will be replaced,it is not too hard to turn and i hope you do get to see it again one day!
@ceredigio Shane Seagrave who looks after the organ for it's owner, yes, this is a Roy Orbison song and there is another great version by Linda Ronstadt,i did wonder if it was you,Harry.
