    Youre actually the best, we havent had an actual vault coach this season, and without any workouts to do we have just been doing sprint workouts, so this couldnt have come at a better time

    Just finished my first pole vault season. Realized how out of shape I was and that I could have added feet just by training. And here I am.

    I have a question, so I was going to go to this summer camp to start pole vaulting for the first time but it got cancelled. Are there any tips you have of finding a coach? Btw I love your videos dude!😁

    Hello Shawn, I wanted to ask you, what do you think of Quarantine-Gymnastics, and if you think that e.g. Handstandwalking is important for pole vautling?

  • @saieshwarchikoti6785
    @saieshwarchikoti6785 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, how much speed is considered good for pole vault. Is 12 flat a good 100 time for pole vault? I am asking this because I want to know what I need to prioritise my work outs on

    • @TeamHootPoleVault
      @TeamHootPoleVault  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      More speed = more better. A flying 10m time is a better indicator than 100m for pole vault

  • @thepolevaulter9578

    Mr. Francis, sorry but I wanted to ask why there wasn’t any pull ups in the workout?

    • @TeamHootPoleVault
      @TeamHootPoleVault  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I looked around my own room found it difficult to find a place to do pull-ups. I wanted to create a program that everyone could do where lack of equipment wasn't an issue. The workout isn't ideal by any means but neither is our situation. Hope this helps!

    Great training plan, thanks! One question though, for the Speed Acceleration day you say on the plan to rest for 1 min between reps but in the video you say to rest 2 mins - which is correct or doesn't it matter?

    • @TeamHootPoleVault

      @@TeamHootPoleVault in the first part of the 'Corona Circuit', is there supposed to be any rest between the 11 different exercises in the initial run through when doing '20 of each'? I try not to stop but find that I always have to pause briefly to get my breath back which is frustrating.
