I absolutely love my hometown of O'Fallon MO and miss it greatly. Lived there my whole life until about 4 years ago but whenever I go back to visit my family I always get the biggest smile on my face and say outloud while driving "I'm home!" Out of all the places I have been in this country, none seem to have what I call the perfect balance that is O'Fallon. It has plenty of things to do like a bigger city, yet still has areas that feel a bit more rural and not as busy. Growing up in the 90s when it really started to boom, I was transferred throughout elementary school to high school to 4 different schools/districts bc of the ever changing boundary lines from the rapid growth of people moving to the area and having kids. You captured O'Fallon in the best time of the year too...summer is so gorgeous in the O'Fallon, LSL, Winghaven, Wentzville area!
I’ve never lived there but I agree, that entire area of St. Charles County is really nice. It’s probably where I would live if I were to move to St. Louis. Thanks for watching!
It’s not just the rolling hills, but there are a lot of beautiful woodlands and forests compared to Illinois in the Western St. Louis suburbs. I like Chesterfield and O’Fallon a lot!
I lived my childhood years in lake saint Louis right off lake saint louis boulevard. I remember my school bus driving over the falls bridge and it would scare the heck out of me every time. Now I miss it and can't wait to take my wife there and show her where I was raised. My back yard was. The dividing line of LSL and Ofallon. I miss it there. Thank you for making this video
The nice thing about Lake St Louis is that it's right in the middle of town basically. If you're able to afford a house on the lake which ranges from around 500k to over 1M you get lake living and you're only a 5 min drive to pretty much any store you can think of. The rapper Nelly used to have a house on the lake.
I’ve thought about it since it follows the river and there's plenty of interesting places along the way. Can't say if I'll actually do a video on that or not.
Oh yes. Just can’t tell you when that’ll be. I’ve already done some on Iowa, and I’ve done one in Arkansas. The goal in the end is to have done videos on every state just like I have with Illinois... and I’m not even done with Illinois yet.
It began to skyrocket in the 90's when white flight sent a lot of people living in the St Louis region (including the metro east) over to St Charles. At one point St Charles was expected to be the region, but there's no chance it'll happen, there's not enough land for all that supposed development. It'll still be the St Louis metro region, but shifted heavily to the west, especially as crime continues to increase in the city and the metro east.
Good video but I'll dispute you that there is no history in Downtown O'Fallon. The city hall itself, Assumption Catholic Church, and other very old buildings and businesses some of which are over 100 years old.
Indeed. Isn't there also a park with some Zumwalt family history as well? I'm born and raised in St. Peters/St. Charles but don't know a whole lot about O'fallon. St. Charles county has a lot of historical significance in general though.
@@IosuamacaMhadaidh I think you are talking about Fort Zumwalt Park in O'Fallon. There is only a big brick fireplace left in the park where the original family house was.
Technically, O'Fallon, MO and O'Fallon, IL are neither one suburbs of St. Louis. Suburbs are primarily residential areas (towns, villages, cities) that were formed for people to live on the edge of the city where they commuted to work. In 1856 and 1854 when they were founded, no one was commuting to St. Louis to work daily from these towns. They were about a day's ride away. Too many think all of these towns, since they have all grown and nearly merged into one massive populated area, are suburbs, but they aren't. St. Louis suburbs basically are any place out to the Missouri River and the Mississippi River. Those towns were primarily founded to provide residential areas for people to live who then went to work in St. Louis and expanded out from the St. Louis city limits. St. Charles (1769) is not a suburb of St. Louis (1764), being a competing city, like Alton, IL (1818) and East St. Louis, IL (1797) were competing cities when founded. Each of these towns were formed and separated from St. Louis by a good distance of open land, not just spreading out from St. Louis. They were not the bedroom communities for the workers in St. Louis. This is why so many from these towns object to being called "a suburb of St. Louis." Most confuse this issue as when they look at today's maps, all of these towns appear to merge due to growth and the assumption is they were outgrowths from the city of St. Louis. This would be like calling Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach suburbs of Miami. Or Fort Worth a suburb of Dallas. Sadly, Wikipedia does not adhere to its own definition of suburb when describing these various towns and cities.
He utilized the yellow when yer allow to keep moving. The light hitting red as he passed under is just nitpicking a dude who puts out edited, FREE videos so people don't have to be totally unfamiliar with an area they may be moving to. So, go be a traffic cop somewhere else.
O'Fallon Illinois has a big problem with it that town is in the state of Illinois 😞☹️😖😧 O'Fallon Missouri is very good for families and kids because when a house 🏠 is list-it that house won't be for sale very long those houses have a bidding war on those houses up there. Dexter Lombardo out 🤠
The author here is a bit confused O'Fallon is part of St Charles County. Therefore it is a suburb of St. Charles County. St Louis is located in St Louis County. So if you are going to put up information at least get it right
You’re completely wrong. St.Charles existed long ago but as St.Louis grew St.Charles by default became a suburb of St.Louis therefore so is O’Fallon. Please educate yourself before telling others they’re wrong

Wow this was a amazing catch of the rich area's of Lake St louis and O Fallon thanks again :-)
Thank you and I’m glad that you enjoy!
Man this made me super homesick
My family and I moved here from Ferguson when I was only 8 years old. It's a nice city for sure!
I lived in ofallon when it was nothing but a wide spot in the road in 1988 till 2017.... I was class of 94 fort zumwalt north
I wish there was video of O’Fallon from back then, it’d be interesting to see the differences of the area before and after
that was back when O'Fallon, IL was the larger O'Fallon.
Looks beautiful. I need to check it out. Great video 👍

The Fact that 30 miles away just across the river is another O'fallon and Troy.
It's crazy that O'Fallon Missouri population is at 93,644 since this video got uploaded 4,971 (estimated) moved in since then.
Thanks for uploading.
I can't help but feel like St. Charles County is it's own city disguised as a St. Louis suburb.
Nice shout out for Tim Ream. he started out with RBNY, MNT, and then went on to England's EPL league.
Ever planning doing a video on all of Illinois route 3 From Cairo To Grafton
I’ve thought about it since it follows the river and there's plenty of interesting places along the way. Can't say if I'll actually do a video on that or not.
Perfect!!!!! Thank You!!!!!!!
Nice video. If you have not bought a pro mic this year, do that now :) It will improve the quality of you great content
Wisconsin is the only other state with lettered highways. At least on a statewide basis.
Are you planning to go like to Kansas or Arkansas or Iowa
Oh yes. Just can’t tell you when that’ll be.
I’ve already done some on Iowa, and I’ve done one in Arkansas.
The goal in the end is to have done videos on every state just like I have with Illinois... and I’m not even done with Illinois yet.

Do you know the subdivision name at 17:52 by chance?
It's Deer Creek Estates.
