Hi Andrew. My name is Jason and I live in Britain’s oldest recorded town called Colchester. It’s a Roman town. Was called camulodgeulem by the romans. I just want you to know what an inspiration you are to me personally. You do t cus and fuss as you work and I love the way that nothing phases you. I’ve seen you on every video you have made and you never swear. Now me I’m the opposite and I hate being this way. You have changed me as a human. Yes you have made me look at life in a different way. You are an incredible guy and I wish I knew you personally as u are so positive. Pluss I’m a dog lover and I love the way you treat you doggies. I cried when I see Levi’s video, being a dog owner I could see his back legs we’re starting to give way on him as he was getting older. Exactly the same happened to all of my dogs as they all lives to an old age. Thank you Andrew you are indeed an inspiration. I really hope you get to read this message. All the best from your Roman friend in England. Regards jay.

If you throw a track from the powered side, detrack it on the idler, hook it back on the cog and then push it to retrack on the idler. Much easier. I've done them by myself without any machine aid within 20~40 minutes depending on size. Took me about an hour, hour and a half to do an all metal one once. Piece of rebar that i keep on my machinery is all i needed.

Its nice to know I’m not the only one throwing a track off the skidsteer when doing clearing work with my grapple. Its a messy job bleeding the grease out of the cylinder, but there’s now way around it. I had not one but TWO tracks come off yesterday when this video posted! On my TL8 and CAT 305CR. On the skid steer I find it's easier to put the front idler side on last. And on the excavator, man that's so much easier being able to lift the whole side up off the ground. Plus you can reach the controls to advance the track without having to get in/out of the cab. Oh I bought a few more attachments from auction thanks to you! Can't wait to try out the tree shear and land plane.

(Temp, Elevation, all that kind of stuff) I thought the dealer was pilling my leg when he told me, but it really does run a ton better if you let it sit idling when you first start it.

Andrew, Been a long time bro... The next time you derail, cut some 2" to 3" diameter round branches and start by feeding them from the top sprocket (make sure it's a hardwood), as you reverse it will feed the track right back on the rail and sprocket, no grease release necessary.. Works every time. Good luck and nice to see your channel has grown like crazy. btw...We are in the process of making jigs for this problem and just got our patent pend. but branches work just fine. Great video.

@@peglegtoo I have 1 in my archives somewhere, but 1 thing for sure don't believe the Manufactures specs when It comes to how tight they should be, we used to throw tracks like crazy but...believe it or not for the last 10 yrs we loosen out tracks to have a good sag , the tighter the tracks the more often they're to derail from rocks, turning on a side slope ect... We have not lost a track on 8 Cat 299D's in 5 yrs and prior to that we would go many seasons with no track derailment. As for the question, I will find and post the video for you.. Good luck and Thanks for asking

@@peglegtoo BTW, Obviously, make sure the track is on the front idler and like I said you will never reinstall a derailed track any other way, simple and works every time.
