I genuinely squealed, was both terrifying and awesome to have that kind of experience. Still new to rust (got into it after a few months of willjum videos), and man is it rough if you're not in a server right from wipe, but learning and enjoying it!

He's cheating dude, at several points in the video he fully mines nodes in 2 swings, peaks through walls, and double jumps on surfaces where that isn't possible. As a long time viewer, his exploits have become more and more obvious, and it's incredibly disappointing to witness.

I don't understand. Don't get me wrong. I love this dudes channel. I'm literally a 45 year old dad w two kids who got me gaming. I have 8k ,hours on rust since 2017. And if we get on even just a 200 man server, we fight pretty much Everytime we go outside. Farm 3 rocks, fighting. Cut down 4 trees, fighting. Run the road , fighting. On the way to the recycler, fighting. Recycling, fighting. On way home, fighting. Yet this dude will chase bears down three blocks and shit and just be chillin. ???? Not dogging Wiljum at all. He is a monster I love him. Just saying I'm impressed that he knows how to live unseen like that w ,five times the pop
I used to play as a solo. I just hated group drama. Honestly I never understood either but you just grow this understanding of the game over time on how to remain under the radar
As a not taken the plunge despite owning the game for 6 years enjoyer, the objective external question is this: Bear Rug+the mindset of "Today, I'm doing something special, not at all stupid, special". Throw in the transitional mindset of 'Prim for life time to raid, raid raid!' into 'I got a revvy/P2 look at all these grubs, scum (despite literally being said scummy grub a second ago)' and you probably have the winners mindset. Think it and it'll occur naturally.
he builds in remote areas, and as a solo is worried about other close by neighbors. He puts over 12hs a day in his wipe and got hire chance of wiping his neighbors before they get a chance to build.
And he's using a bow (doesn't make much sound), only a few hours into whipe, in the snow. Not many people there.

I love Wiljums positivity but I've never seen anyone so hesitant to call out blatant cheaters. I guess it won't do much good, but not calling them out doesn't help either. Idk. Some people call cheats any time they lose and that sucks too. Idk i wish there was more we could do
It's one thing to be magnanimous it's another to be letting people who ruin Rust for others go free.
The best you can do is play on servers with active moderation teams, you may still lose a fight, but with a report and some evidence, they'll likely be banned.
Though there's always the problem of alt accounts, admins can easily tell when a completely new player (to the server) logs on and knows the codes to a known cheater's base.
The channel runs on chill, and calling hacks would ruin that. He can edit out reports and deal with that stuff while not recording, and he probably does.
@@-tr0n I'm sure he's made a comment or two about reporting suspected cheaters in a couple of videos. Might have been him saying he'd reported on someone after an incident, during one of the team up videos and from one of those players videos not his, so yeah, he probably edits it out of his videos.
TH-camrs tend to edit out reports since they arent fun to watch, and there is also the worry that you'll annoy viewers if you complain too much or look foolish if you call out cheats and turn out to be wrong.

PLEASE REPORT PEOPLE. Don't just shrug off a potential cheater, PUT IN A REPORT. Don't just put "multicheat" and absolutely nothing else, describe what happened and give specific terminology. The admins read them when they notice them, it helps them to zero in on what's happening.

Honestly tho if a report from a sufficiently high profile user comes in while Facepunch's admin staff are online, they seem to dig into the logs pretty much immediately regardless of the description.
Agreed. Takes 30 seconds to tell admins what happened and let them deal with it. It’s hard to determine “real report or rage report” without context.

I havent had a propper working computer in many years, i used to play Star Wars Galaxies, Guild Wars and Mass Effect online back in the days. For little over a year ago i found Rust through TH-cam and Willjum quickly became my favourite to watch due to the chill nature and realxing playstyle. (I also watch Welyn, Blooprint, Frost, Brit, Cali and of course AloneinTokyo) Long story short, i am now going to order a computer again, just so i too can build bases and relax while doing it. Keep up the good work Willjum, looking forward to the day i run into you and you raid my base because i live too close

I think a fun video idea would be to share your account with an NA TH-camr and try to do a solo wipe where you always take turns and everyone plays about 12 hours a day and you are constantly online. Bet it would be interesting to see both reactions and see what the other one did the night. Maybe make a lot of enemys and try to get raided.

Willjum is the reason I've learned to accept what rust I can play, I used to never play the game simply cause I didnt have the time to do full wipes, but his mini adventures have inspired me to do my own and simply enjoy the time I do have. truly an amazing storyteller

Played solo rust yesterday, started fresh. About 4 hours in had a 2 story base and box full of guns (got from decayed base), about 600 scrap. And out of no where foundation wiped by 4 guys. Love the experience❤️
