Matt, you probably don’t remember me. But years ago you worked for Gumby for a short while and I met you. (We did work at the 666 address, I know you know where I’m talking about 😂). You sent me the song Gravedigger and I remember blasting it in my car with Jack Sessoms and telling you how good of a song it was. Now 2023, I was watching a show with my wife on Netflix and I heard the song gravedigger and instantly remembered it was your song. I googled the song and sure enough it was you. Just wanted to say that I’m really happy for you that your dreams came true. You did it man, and I hope you have many more years of success with your awesome music

I feel like I can find shades of my life in most of Matt's songs but this one, THIS ONE in particular, hits me right down in my core. It's that feeling one gets when they hear someone put into words emotions that they could never really describe and you finally feel seen in a way that you'd stopped expecting you ever might. Thank you for this song Matt (and to Mahogany for a beautiful recording of it that will help me in my quest to learn to play it on my own guitar).
