I work in a hospital med-surge unit. I see the struggle the covid patients go through just to breathe. My sincere condolences to you and all who lost loved ones to this evil scourge.
See it's the complete opposite in my household. My sister and I had to do everything with no life and my brother (the baby) had to do nothing and was able to run the roads. Still lives with mom and dad to but I got kicked out at 16 and lived out of my grandfather's truck went to school and had a job and then at 23 saved up enough to buy my own house. It was definitely rough but made it through.

My father is always on my side, I am oldest with 2 younger brothers who always approach me when they want father to bring something to eat, he wont say no to them but they know that if I ask it's on the way..
not in my family, it was the boys who got everything and had to do very little. us girls not only had to do cleaning, laundry, dishes and carry water, (when the well was low.) we had to cut and carry wood,tend the garden and lots more. the boys cut wood,cut grass, that was it. looking back, I'm glad my dad did that. I learned a lot.
While I am glad it worked for you, I do worry about that methodology. Maybe it worked for your household, but not everyone learns that way. If the girls have to do everything in the boys have to do nothing, the boys will grow up to be lazy and expect a woman to do everything for them. It is going to make them lousy partners, and eventually they will be single because no woman in her right mind would put up with that.
