Yes, while most people are growing very densely I tried to give my trees space to grow bigger but soon that space will run out.

I can’t believe you have jackfruit. I live in Pinellas County and lost a Jamaican Cherry and sustained considerable damage to my Soursop from the cold weather we had in January. I had one piece of fruit on my Soursop last year. This year the leaves are stunted, some flowers and a lot of dieback.
You have a lot of beautiful specimens and a lot of room, very nice.

Too cold for soursop for my area but my jackfruit has handled the cold well so far but it hasn't been below 30.

My second review (viewing). There is a LOT of information here, and a ton of new developments! This is nostalgia. My first video and first post to my new friends. LOOKS GOOD! Seeing the development is as much fun as getting the information.

What's up Corjen ... Great seeing you brother
I shared the video on my community page
Sapodilla Trees seem to grow very slow ..
    It's Solanum sessiliflorum, - cocona ,
Jabuticaba , Barbados cherry, and starfruit trees are loaded ...
The food forest looks amazing ...

Cocona, thanks for reminding me. Thanks for sharing. My alano sap has grown well. The makok did as well until it decided to be pregnant 12 months of the year.

Looking good :) your trees sure have some size on them for their age

The heavy mulch in a large area plus good topsoil that I imported to build mounds as well as the compost I laid down 4-5 years ago really helped. Now I'm just trying to fine tune the ph around each tree and learn what they individually need. Studying soil science is my current passion. Going into winter so hopefully no severe freezes. Enjoy your summer over in Australia.

I have had Thai/Indian giant jujube for about 10 year and never like it. its flavors is like an Asian pears. I chopped mine down but its shoots came back with the rootstock and its fruits taste better than the Thai.

That's great, how is the fruit size comparison?

    • @bojhudd3314
      @bojhudd3314 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@CorJenFarm It's smaller. Half size of the Thai. With the taste of sweet, sour and tart.

Why don't you water your trees with rain water instead. We collect rain water and thats how we water our trees during dry season..

Property is too big and too many trees.i throw a pump in the pond making it easy. I just be careful in the future.

Squirrels, I hate them! My neighbor feeds them peanuts and the population is out of control. I am lucky to get any fruit. Do not get one lychee from my tree, it is tough with the weather and the vermin.

Pellet gun! I just haven't had much time to get after them lately.

Did your mango trees die back during the 2017-2018 freeze in central Fl ? Mine did , they are just trying to come back ...

No, I used burn barrels to protect them. You can look through my old videos to see what I did on that 25 degree night.
