Just made two half batches using blackberry purée and the other using raspberry purée. Flavor is amazing! Very easy. I did use foil to line a 2”x4” pan for each half-recipe.
Nice
amazing!
How long does it rest once it is in the mold, and do you rest it in the counter or in the fridge?
It does not rest
At all
You could do it either way but it’s gonna take longer on the counter if you want faster results put it in the fridge 😂
@@FosterFlipbooksyes it does! If you don’t let it rest it’s gonna fall apart when u unwrap it and waste your ingredients! Plus what you think you’re gonna eat them hot! 🤣 NO! There served cold! Put them in the fridge till cooled down or the longer the better
Thank you. Great stuff

I made this just the same way she did but it came out hard as a rock, like hard rock candy?
Same happened to me.
I misunderstod the word "cook". It shall never cook with bubbles, just heat it. When you use a thermometer, it shall be max. 93°C.Then you get the consistens of gum. Try again.
What lokum version is this? I watched many times about this but this version is different
how long do you rest this for?
Till it’s set! 😂
For the juice, did u buy that juice in the supermarket?
Yess
@@CulturedCuisine but isnt it to sweet if u cover it with sugar again in the end? Because i check other video about this cuisine they also use corn starch in the end
@@Orang77327omg! 🤣 what kind of question is that! And Turkish delight is sweet! If u don’t want it sweet don’t put the sugar in! 🤣🤣🤣 it’s the corn starch that thickens it not the sugar! 🤣🤣🤣
@@king_glitchy2623 no one asking you m8, the owner of the vid alr answer me
Thank you
So you used a metal whip in a nonstick pan? And you just dumped the cornstarch in without sifting?
So u just watched the video where she uses a metal whip in a nonstick pan and dumped the cornstarch and still choose to ask dumb questions?
Thank you for the video. I tried to make it with lemon and used turmeric for the colour. It seemed ok, but after a few hours it got all wet. What have I done wrong?
Did you coat them with sugar?
@@hi-uz9kg yes I did. I coated them with sugar mixed with corn starch 🤷♂️
@@jacquesdemolay2264 I dont know sorry 😓
@Zayna- زينة yes i did! I thought it would have speeded up the firming
Because this is a quickie recipe & doesn't call for the long cook time that locks the moisture into the candy. th-cam.com/video/2Z_dEvhM41U/w-d-xo.html
I did everything but the ceran sticked so hard to the turkish delight it destroyd it when i tryed taking it off
Some of the other recipes showed greasing the Saran Wrap.
@@nancyskinner5207 thanks
Try this ratio-
Sugar-5 part
Water+any liquid-5 part
Corn starch-1 part
why did you add butter butter
To stop it from burning to the pan while ur stirring it and for flavour too most likely 😂
Common sense 😂😂😂
Love the tip of using juice! For me it was a pity you added butter because I am dairy intolerant. 😥
Then take ghee
Thanks the 1st time it didn't work but rhe 2nd it did but it so sticky
Try this ratio-

When I made them they came out this way and honestly they weren’t that great, they were way too jelly like instead of having that dense gummy type texture like they are supposed to have and they were also still a little wet so the powdered sugar just melted off of them
Why is the butter needed?
it usually adds some flavor and texture.
Is this vegan?
Not with butter in it, no. You might be able to use a substitute though I would think
Omg 🤦🏽♂️ are the items you use to cook it vegan 🤣 come on it’s common sense! 🤣🤣🤣
you say any juice work, i don't think apple and melon juice do. It is not acidic enough. so it is not any juice.
You can add lemon juice, to make it acidic. (Opinion only, comment please)

Could add vinegar, very little bit obviously.
Cream of tartar with acidify it
