You did the series justice, in only 30 minutes 👏
Facts. I was impressed by the editing. I watched the entire series in real time. Nothing like Nurse Jackie.
AGREED!!!!!!!
She wasn’t. She was real.
I found your post on Reddit nurse Jackie is one of my favourite series of all time and you've just made me want to watch it all over again this is really good like I'm not even kidding thanks I really enjoyed it
@@OriginalEntitySourced thank you so much!
Dito ! tried watching it over on amazon prime UNTIL i made it to season 4 🫣 apparently amazon lost the rights to 3 whole seasons. any comments/suggestions on where i can catch up on this amazing series ?! Thanks guys !!
I’m just waiting for the new season! Still can’t believe they’re remaking it 😊
This show is underrated. She was diabolical!!
wow, i’ve always seen the title card for this show and never got around to watching it, this is an INCREDIBLE recap and i’m only half way through. as someone who is struggling w substance use currently (alc) and trying to keep my head above water i can relate heavily. to the wanting to stop, NOT wanting to stop, trying to keep everything together while it’s actively cracking apart-thankfully i’m not spiraling or alone but getting a hold on my drinking has been the most difficult thing for me so far. i’m tapering and trying to fill my time with other pursuits, work, my relationship, everything else that makes life Life. shows like this are a mirror that remind me that it’s worth it to keep getting back on the wagon
It really is and you are so worth living for. My dad was an alcoholic, but when I had just left my first husband I had our five week old baby in my arms and I thought I have to protect this baby. He was a very abusive man. Life can be hard, but what you have to do is love yourself in order to get this thing kicked for good. You have to look at the future as a positive because addiction is the negative. Even looking at a flower and seeing how it’s made is a positive. It may take a while for you to see the positives that come from staying away from your addiction. You have to surround yourself with positive people because the negative people will only put you down and you are so worth being around positive people. Any help that is brought to your attention that they can help you kick this habit, take it. The way I always look at it, but if there was a disaster of some sort in my area and I whistle enough to grab my bags to grab my pets and go to safety. If I’m not then I’m in trouble. Please just keep moving forward in a positive way And you’ll see how much better you are getting away from your habit. I wish you all the best.
Hey you should watch the series…I’ve just finished watching it the 2nd time…it’s a real eye-opener of how addicts go by their day if they are in control as much as they can. 1st time I watched I was so pro- Jackie actually buying into her lies and deceitful nature so that she could function. This time round not so much , I see the destruction she causes just so she can get high. It’s very very good.
The other people at the hospital not reporting her is even worse tbh
He caught her head staff throwing out her test, and somehow he’s the bad guy. What was this show?
@jasonmurdoc9533 and the fans of the show are so brainwashed they don't even understand it was a dragged out show. She relapses constantly.
@@MrBen-zv1ip I’ve been in and out of the hospital since I was 4 some people don’t realize how messed up the hospital system is from top to bottom, nurses doctors all of them. Someone tried to say hospitals aren’t black and white that’s why the other doctors stood with her and bla bla bla. I’ve almost died over small mistakes made by nurses and doctors who wouldn’t even stop to apologize too much to buy into this, house is a genius that deserves to be a jerk, or nurse Jackie actually knows the hospital so she should be allowed to use. In reality all doctors think they are house, and every nurse thinks they know the hospital better than everyone, weither it is true or not and it’s the patients that suffer. But in these shows the patient is always the annoying problem. I could go on lol
Seriously, Jackie and her supporters are all bad people and even worse healthcare providers. They should all be in jail.
@@jasonmurdoc9533 And every keyboard warrior thinks their anecdote constitutes reality. People say and do all kinds of stuff it doesn't matter what their job is or where they work. People suck and that's it.
Best series recap I've ever watched.
This is the best recap video I've ever seen
This show did such a good job of portraying the realities of addiction…how Jackie is still genuinely herself throughout the whole run of the show but her addiction just chips away at her and her relationships bit by bit until it’s all unrecognizeable.
BEST RE-CAP EVER!!!!!! THANK YOU❤ I never saw the series
Great summary video, thank you. It’s probably realistic, but I can’t help marvelling how often Addict Jackie’s friends and family covered for her in very high-risk [to patients] situations. Over and over and over again. I doubt that I would be nearly so forgiving.
This show broke my heart.
I’ve always wanted to watch this show but don’t know if I had the dedication. Thank you for doing Gods work
Omg I just realized that Eddie was also Father Intintola on the Sopranos!!! Mind blown!!! lol
Carmela and Father Phil. What, no f-ing ziti???
I’m sitting here going I know I’ve seen them together. Damn, great chemistry
He also played a guard in OZ which she was in as well. Those shows all had the same cast
@@Affenzunge yep
I forgot how much i loved this show. Great recap!
I’m almost 20 minutes in and gosh this is an emotional roller coaster
I binged this show years ago and forgot half of this stuff. This was put together really well!
This show and my younger brother (may he rest in peace) is the reason for my sobriety and why I celebrated 10 years last summer. It’s a great reminder of the life I left behind and will continue to leave in the past. No matter how hard it gets now it’s still always better than my best day using. I’m not proud of that time of my life but I’ll never deny it and will always share my story with anyone that asks in hopes of helping anyone as those who helped me through it all
I HATED when she kicked her husband out for the affair...hypocrite!!
Because she was in denial. She wanted to pretend her bad side didnt exist. Her husband was healthy admitting it, she wasnt
Wow this took a lot of work! Good job
As someone in recovery i always forget the worst trait an addict picks up is their ability to lie to their loved ones (or anyone) about anything at anytime....with a straight face wven when confronted with the truth. The sad part is they are to selfish to even care how their lies effect everyone they come in contact with
I really need to watch this. I just retired as an ER/ICU nurse. My god I know these folks
This makes me want to watch the series from the beginning again.
Loved this show to death. That ending breaks my heart though 😢
Wow i totally totally forgot all about her doing that to her sponsor! I truly forgot about alot of the shit she did and how horribly she treated not only her family but more so Zoey and Gloria! Im in recovery and im so glad i never did any of this shit while getting high. This show really perfectly described functioning addicts and addiction.
Im gonna rewatch this now cause I really love the fck outta this show and felt like I was apart of this little family 😢😭
I also never realized how selfish she was by committing suicide at that exact moment God im definitely rewatching now lol there is so much that I missed with my 18 year old naive and green eyes
Is being judgmental one of the new "steps"?
This show was so good, I watched the entire series twice...❤
when Jackie screwed over her sponsor and signed her up for rehab instead, to me this was the biggest wtf moment of the show
I have been obsessed with this show for a long time. I was addicted to painkillers and man had I been a nurse I would have done serious damage , but it’s also kind of unrealistic how much she kinda got away with considering how much they watch healthcare workers. I say that , but then know better to. It was the best at portraying how it is.
I met Edie Falco in person in 2002. She's a delightful person.
Who is that? The real nurse Jackie? And why were you in prison?
@@bettyshabazz4092obviously the actress that played her you schizo
Thank you thank you ! And what a crazy amount of work
Thank you! Yeah it took about six weeks to make
@ I’ll watch it a few times then lol
Good Lord, she really was the worst, and everybody still loved her
This woman saved so many lives. Watch the scene with her in her 1st rehab roundtable. Explains alot.
@PinkyakaAJ I get it but holy crap
@@mztweety1374 Yes I get it. Jackie did some bad things to people
She was the best. And everyone worried about her
@katanaki3059 she was the BEST as long as you weren't one of her kids, partner, coworkers, friends, patient, or acquaintance 😅😅
SUCH A GREAT EDIT!!!
Ethan this was so good. Please do many more. I wish u si much success ❤😊😊
Thank you! I really love making these videos for my favorite shows, I'm glad people enjoy them ❤
It's absolutely diabolical making Zoey and Eddie, the two who showed Jackie the most unconditional love and unwavering support, to be the ones who find her dying. My heart broke so much for Zoey watching this when it aired and all over again watching this.
In this show Jackie was an amazing nurse ,so caring kind and full of empathy…too bad she was a raging drug addict that couldn’t stop …used and abused everyone around her. Also accused and setup anyone and everyone around her so she wouldn’t get caught. Made her a saint and a demon in the same breathe.
Excellent recap. Loved this show and you did it justice ❤
So o’Hara really thought that a woman who has been lying in her face about her personal life, that she was so special Jackie wouldn’t screw her over 😂
Honestly, as a nurse, I can't watch Jackie do all of this. I stopped after episode... 4? It just hurts seeing these people in danger. She tears down so many people. And it hurts to see her doing this to herself. I just...
I've worked rehab and detox. I can’t watch this. I'm more like Zoey if anything, after working for 10 years.
Jackie ages backwards in this show - must be the long hair. This recap is awesome.
One of my all-time favorites.... Absolut
Ethan... supeeb job! I would have paid to watch this!
“You’re good, Jackie, you’re good” 😞
When she checks her sponsor into rehab that was CRAZY
Great edit, thanks!!
I loved this series
I miss this show! ❤
When Zoey says, “Jackie, you’re good.” 😭
I’ve never watched this show before but this is insane. Jackie is evil
I think this show always finds addicts. I'm so glad to not be anymore
Such a great series.
How can people say this is there favorite series when your watching a person’s life spiral from drug addiction😰
Wow. This is really good job you've done. How long did it take you to put this video together?
And if somebody is wandering, yes it is worth watching. Show is 10/10.
@FlowerGirlMy thank you! It took me about six weeks, I’d edit about 30 minutes or an hour a night
Jesus. What a ride.
I hope that sequel or whatever you want to call it comes back, cause I really miss this show
Im sooooooo glad i never got into these drugs....9 months sober booze and 3 months sober from decades weed smoking none stop.
I’ve been in recovery for nearly 13 years from opioids. This was a great recap & now I’ve got to watch it. Such a good recap, without even seeing the entire show, The ending gutted me.
Love this show!!!
Off topic but Eve Best as Dr. Eleanor O'hara is so sooo damn fine 🫦
She's beyond words 💙
I always thought she died at the end of
So Father Phil and Carmela finally hooked up 😭 ?
thanks. i wanted to watch for a while but its not available
Anyone know when the sequel comes out!l? It was supposed to be 2024 🤔
Sooo she just… never got clean? wtf kind of ending
I love it don’t get me wrong, it shows you that not everyone has a redemption arc. Not everyone can be strong enough but wtf
It's not a Disney movie! That's how real addiction is i real life. It ends in happy ending more less often than you would think. Out of 100% of addicts relapses 60% first time. 60%!!!
Yeah I can't think of a show with a more depressing ending, I also love it though
Yeah I didn’t like ending either …bot times lol
😢❤thank you
9:33 That says so much.
I love to hate this show! Nusre Jackie on one hand is amazing and on the other an absolute piece of garbage!
No one is a piece of garbage when their brain has bad wiring.
@@PinkyakaAJ That’s not true. Ailments are not excuses to abuse others, and most ppl with ailments agree. Jackie was a flawed person who did very bad things.
@@yazzyhdb4715I don't think you really understand my comment.
At the end did she die?
I love how all these people in the comments praising this show bc they can relate to this characters habbits! Lmao
did she die??
Her fate was left intentionally vague
5:02 first rule of cheating: at least one party has to know.
So did she die at the end?
Yup.
The show fell apart once Eve Best left.
OMG, did Jackie die??
Don't know cause show ended before found out.
Her last words were about wanting to ‘be good.’ That is what Zoe was saying to her as she died. That seemed as definitive as Tony Soprano losing his POV to black.
Good thing i didn't waste time watching the show. There is no redeeming quality.
1. She cheats on her husband with her drug dealer but then she's the one who gets mad on her husband for cheating.
2. The other nurses seem to not care for the patients? They constantly let Jakie off the hook and lie for her. If it was not a show there would be so many dead patients.
3. The new guy in charge was doing what actual hospitals do. Kick out drug addicts and the ones who enable the addict. But the show tried to portray him as if he was the bad guy?
4. I don't even know if so many relapses over the years is even realistic. I guess the writers wanted to milk the show so they said okay so she relapses, gets emotional, gets clean and repeat.
5. I do not think she would have won the trial if they showed how many times she actually relapsed. Repeat offenders do not get their job as a nurse back.
This is real life bud
You just wrote out every reason to watch the show. There are so many layers to Jackie. In pulling back those layers we get to know those around her and the inner workings of a hospital. Life is rarely Black and White. This show gives us so many Shades Of Gray. Its worth the watch because it TEACHES US while engaging and entertaining us all at the same time. Anytime a show can open up dialog its a good thing.
This is reality TV at it's finest.
I hope that you maybe watch 1 season. This 30 minutes barely scratches the surface.
Peace my friend 💙🤍🙏🏽
@@PinkyakaAJ You just described it so well! It really is an incredibly realistic portrait of addiction.
@@PinkyakaAJcoming from a 28 year old whose been getting surgery ever since he was 4, that’s the problem someone comes in trying to set it right, things go wrong so they fall back on the broken system, do you know how many times a nurse has almost killed me, or a doctor ignored somthing that happened to me regularly which lead to an infection. But I’m sure it balances out somehow right?
@@PinkyakaAJ I don't think it's a good thing to portray a drug addict being enabled by everyone around her and making the audience think that's a good thing. Specially if that addict works in health care. This isn't realistic. Addicts will get kicked out and their licence would be taken away immediately. They could make it so that the system is corrupt and they try to sweep it under the rug but that was not the case. The hospital did try to take her job but she cheated her way back in again. It would have been acceptable if they killed her off after the 1st relapse due to overdose. But they did milk the show repeating the rehab and relapse script
Did Jackie die?
Show ended at a crucial scene of her overdosing so the audience doesn't know if she survived or not.
@reneshay889 thank you!
😢
If drugs were legal would jakie have ever had any problems? Eddie wouldnt have gotten tortured and it seems like she just probably worked as a great nurse and lived her life. Basically oxy would have just been a prescription she takes and that be the end of it.
did you seriously just post a bunch of clips from the show? I thought this would be some kind of video essay about the show but this is the laziest sh*t I’ve ever seen
@@sunny-gt7qw if you thought it was going to be a video essay, that’s on you. It’s a RECAP. If only that was indicated in the title of the video-oh wait
Never seen 1 sec
