It’s so sad that in American Christianity, the attitude of a merit system DOES exist! That’s why they believe that if you’re poor, you’re not right with God. But if you’re wealthy, you’re “blessed”; therefore you have God’s favor.... if that’s the case, then Grace doesn’t factor in.
