Also Bill(sorry )when I was out n finally got through the ice(was gonna DRILL lotsa holes n use more stuff?that primitive stuff aforementioned lol) water had 2 b @ least 12 ft. deep where I was n it was really murky!..could that b cuz its a shallow pond/that was the deepest area?also wanted 2 say,besides bibg not sharp enough,my auger is 5'tallx7.5"wide(cut)I'm only 5'7"& I think your auger is smaller,yathink that could be why "no hole for me"?!
2 miles isn't bad at all. We walk 2-4 miles and it goes by fast as long as you don't look back LOL! I wouldn't take the changes of taking a vehicle on the ice no matter the thickness 2" or 20"
You need a sled or atv! All those marb reds you be smoking is goona kill you on that walk one day! lol Pretty impressive catch! I wish we had perch that big here. A big perch for around me is 11". Thanks again for the video.

also guys i noticed if they are getting off check the hooks make sure they are not bent or dull them perch are savage they beat those hooks up
