This reminds me of when Chisa sang this song during her trainee days in XTRA XTRA. At that time, the producer commented that her performance was too focused on technique, making it difficult for the audience to connect emotionally. Chisa cried back then. Now, six years have passed, and her voice and performances have moved countless people to tears. We are so proud of you, Chisa. ❤️
I don't think the critique was that she was too focused on technique, it was that she was getting lost in the song and was forgetting about the audience.

Naturally she would've grown better technical-wise now, but she's also now able to balance emotions without losing track of her singing/techniques. Being able to do this is also a skill in its own right, which obviously makes this performance better as you've pointed out

Incredible and literally took my breathe away! Had to remind myself to breath during that performance. Chisa is on a mission to tackle all the greatest vocal challenges from Britney to Whitney to Lady Gaga and now arguably one of the best movie soundtrack anthems in recent years from The Greatest Showman. I hope one day she gets a chance to release a solo project to belt out an original anthem - maybe a movie soundtrack ballad for Disney or Steven Spielberg? Just rewatch's XTRA XTRA now and yep you can clearly see how Chisa's character developed so much when performing.
