I love this tutorial mainly because the character is very expressive, its poses show how much of a difference it gives a change in posture.

Andrew, this is an exellent tut; very helpful indeed. Your style of instruction is very clear and concise and to the point. No extraneous stuff and just the point. I've just subscribed and look forward to more. Excellent job.

thank you, good sir. Im new to zbrush and the instructor has not yet showed us how to rig models so this is very useful for me since i like to be ahead of the class.

@iSOBigD You CAN use the original Zsphere tool you used to create the model.... as long as it's only a single subtool still. In that case you just select the chain and bind it as I did in this video. However if you have multiple subtools, this won't really work. Maybe (hopefully?!?!?) Pixo will be on this for updates of the plugin.

Great stuff! It makes perfect sense to be able to use ZSpheres for rigging since you use them for modeling as joints and bones anyway. It seems odd though to not be able to just load in the original ZSphere tool you used to create the model in the first place. That seems like something Pixologic could easily implement.

NICE tutorial, i have a question, i create a human body with zspheres then i transform it to a normal polymesh, can i use the zsheres skeleton as rig instead of creating another rig with the same form? how can i do that?

Zbrush posing with zsphere works fine overall, but i have some issues with thin limbs. I don't know how to pose an elbow in a natural way. All i get is bent single line, instead of hard joint in a very specific point. Creating additional spheres around the joint doesn't help at all. Any suggestions guys?:)

is rigging a new feature in ZBrush 4? or was it there is 3.5 as well? I don't remember coming across this feature...but having said that I haven't used it that much. It certainly seems quick compared to maya

Question. How can you transform and rotate an entire ZSphere rig - think of trying to pose two dancing characters, but wanting to duplicate/mirror the first rig and then rotate the whole piece around whilst retaining the ZSphere rig structure?

Question- after I bind the mesh and position and go to hit TPose to SubT, it prompts me to "Load a TPoseMesh from disk..." and I can either "Load file from disk" or "Cancel", where if I click "Load file from disk" it wants a .GoT file. What is going on???
