I sent you a message over Insta a few years back about how Winter in Melbourne saved my life. Literally. With the state of mind I was in back then in college, I didn't realize this song was also one of yours. Lost and Found also helped save my life. These two songs helped me relax and ease the racing thoughts just enough to help me contemplate my choices. To help me realize there was more than one very permanent solution. I simply cannot thank you enough for that. I'm 27 now and have never been happier. Thank you for helping give me the chance to see the beauty life can hold.

This is how I interpret the video: It is the story of a girl who is going through life in hopes of finding someone to be with, such as a friend, family member, or partner. She watches as others get off the train at different stops, each person with a partner and purpose in life. She longs for this too, but is unable to find it until the end, in which she finds someone to share her life with. Whether "the end" is death, I do not know - there is something significant about her star not lighting when she meets the other girl. The other girl is made of light, unlike the people we saw before. Throughout the video there is a lot of symbolism in the scenery. The train symbolizes the journey that is life. The stars symbolize the heart and/or soul, and the light is a form of fulfilment, most likely love. The clock towers signify the fact that time is running out. The birds in cages symbolize the feeling of being trapped or stuck, showing how she is unable to "spread her wings and fly," which means she is unable to feel free and happy. The lack of someone to share her life with - or the lack of love in her life - is barring her from achieving this happiness. The lighthouse symbolizes the fact that she is lost, or searching for direction. It would seem that she finally finds what she's been searching for (love, connection, a purpose) at the end. That's just how I see it.
